127.03/ Watching the #WorldCup - because the championship game in any sport is worth watching - and choosing to support ARG because I have cousins there. Whenever I see a header I think of this C&H:
The games are usually not this exciting and that was an incredible 3rd goal by ARG. But this isn't sudden death (like hockey) so on we go for untold minutes.
127.05/ And Mbappe ties it up. Absolutely the best soccer game I've seen in memory #WorldCup
127.06/ 18 minutes until Fox has to choose to bounce the #WorldCup to show the Cowboys vs. Jacksonville. Football or Fútbol?
127.11/ OK, let's go check the ol' weather app to see what it will be like tomorrow. OK, high of 52 and a low of... NINE?! What the heck? And what kind of symbol is that with a sun behind a lightning thundercloud? Thor's Revenge?
127.13/ Here's an idea - for the #NYR - hitting the post should be like a frozen yogurt punch card: hit 8 posts and get a free goal. Whattaya think?
127.14/ #NachasAlert: My kids' school won 1st & 5th place (out of 40 or something) in our local robotics competition! And my family has been big supporters of the whole STEM program, so it's extra sweet. jewishlink.news/community-news…
127.15/ Just saw a kindergartner going to school wearing a bee costume and I really, really hope it's because she's dressed as a Macca-Bee.
127.15b/ Seeing "Macca-Bee" in the above post and now wanting, nay - demanding, Guillermo Del Toro make a movie about the Mecha-Bee rebellion against Antiochus IV (who'll be a Kaiju? Why not?)
127.18/ I've been saving a treat since my trip to Israel for this coming Shabbas-Chanukah-Rosh Chodesh: kosher (real) Cheetos & Doritos. I say "real" because there are many imitators around, but these taste so much better I need to assume authenticity. #HappyHanukkah !
195.02/ Happy #Eclipse2024 Day for all who celebrate. Here's an interesting article about the halakhic implications of an eclipse by Rabbi Dov Linzer: blogs.timesofisrael.com/solar-eclipse-…
195.03/ #Eclipse2024 My extended family went to a place of 100% totality and took this picture a few minutes ago. For me its 90% and can't be photographed (which is one reason I said shehechiyanu). Not paskening for anyone else, but for me this is a religious experience.
194.02/ #ChochmatNashim for #Shemini 5784.

193.03/ #NachasAlert: Final (so far) tally of times my son leyned Megillah seven times; 3 last night, four times today. Including once for a home-bound Shoah survivor. So proud.
192.02/ So today is #ZayinAdar and Saint Patrick's Day during Ramadan. What could go wrong?
192.03/ There's a resonance in having a fast that commemorates a community sacrifice for soldiers fighting a defensive war against raging antisemites. #TaanitEsther
191.02/ Last #MotzeiShabbatMovieNight of the season. How to top last week, and with a movie my youngest hasn't seen yet? "Fletch (1985)" en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fletch_(f…
191.03/ I agree with Prof. Simkovich, re: the Oscar guy.
Also, I see people wrestling to make sense of his convoluted phrasing, but I'm not inclined to give the benefit of the doubt to a declaration that inherently refuses to give others the same benefit.
190.02/ #MotzeiShabbatMovieNight continues, 2 weeks left before we change the clocks so climbing to the finale. It's "Raising Arizona (1987)" night! I don't need to explain how great it is, right? en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raising_A…
190.03/ #ChochmatNashim for #Vayakhel #Pekudei 5783 (last year; this year it's Vayakhel-Shekalim)
