WHY POLITICS WONT SAVE "US"

The only reason we hv a primary season & not single day primary voting is 2 protect frontrunners & incumbents. The establishment is terrified of having 1 day 4all the marbles. Why? They dont trust THE PEOPLE.

If we had single day primary voting instead of primary "season," Bernie Sanders would have been the nominee & NOT Joe Biden, which terrifies establishment Dems. But watch this, if you had a single primary day in 2016, Donald Trump might not have been the Republican nominee.

If you ask establishment Dems if they could do it all over again, I guarantee you they still would have preferred a Trump presidency under single day primary voting than a Sanders presidency under the same. And herein lies the madness of politics.

They're people who'd rather burn down the whole house than 4them 2B shut out of power. This madness is present on both sides of the political spectrum & these are the people WHO SHOULD NOT BE IN POWER.

This is also why the 2party system is a doom loop that will always fail "Us."

If you dare broach the topic of single day winner-take-all primary voting, you will get shouted down, which proves a primary season is nothing more than a status quo barrier against dethroning the establishment.

Now GA is about 2put an end 2costly runoffs & go 2a winner take all general election getting rid of that 50% threshold. Not sure I like that either. U might end up w/a LoriLightfoot situation where the Chicago Mayor was elected w/less than 20% of the vote.

Ranked choice voting critics feels it adds too much expense & distrust to elections. Look at how long some local CA elections take to come in. The point is ranked choice voting like single primary day voting terrifies the establishment as it introduces political instability.

They want to stay entrenched in power & thus steer voters in that direction. This is why you will never get any meaningful change out of the two party system. in a capitalistic society where the wealthy can simply buy off your politicians to make laws that benefit them.

This is why I argue that 4any meaningful change 2 occur in this country, THE TWO PARTY SYSTEM MUST FALL. Fortunately, Trump has begun the hard work by completely dismantling the Republican Party. We now need someone to do the same on the Democrat side.

Voters must take a long view of politics & stop letting the establishment keep them in crisis mode every 2-4 years, casting each election as though the sky is about to fall & only their chosen candidates can save us. Nonsense. I want it all to fall & to accomplish this,

we need to have the courage to deny establishment power. I've argued that Donald Trump would be horrible for America in the short term, but great for American long term. How so? Because as Dr. King said, "only when its Dark enough can you see the stars."

Unfortunately even as bad as it is, its not dark enough yet. It needs 2get even darker 4us 2finally see the light of the stars that will guide us out this hell hole. The worship of celebrity& politicians as messiahs prevent us from seeing just how dark it is 4those at the bottom.

So we need even more darkness & we need that darkness to blanket everyone equally. The high must be brought just as low as those who occupy the bottom rungs of society. Hence, the biblical warning, "the first shall be last & the last shall be first."

In the instance of black people, there have been too many of us that have been allowed out of the plantation fields & into master's house. These Negroes have gotten racial amnesia to collective black suffering. I say make them black again. Really black.

Only when this country hits rock bottom where its very existence is threatened to the core will it make the changes necessary to survive. The inequality in this country is unsustainable, but establishment politicians have a vested interest in keeping it that way.

This nation is in need of a hard reset& it will happen whether we want it or not. It will either be by choice or force. Either we will truly see how vast & permanent our inequality is or war will force it upon us. Our society is falling apart at the seams & most can't see it.

So my racial fatalism is a natural consequence of observing just how bad this society treats its most vulnerable. Think of it as Jesus weeping over Jerusalem when he finally realizes that he is on suicide mission that will change nothing on this planet.

You can go to church on Sunday, sing every gospel song, pray all you'd like or even speak in tongues to the cows come home, but none of that is changing a goddam thing in this country. Put simply white supremacy is undefeated and capitalism is too.

So miss me w/the idea that Jesus saved me from any damn thing. I feel the wolves on my heels daily & no matter how many times Florida Evans stared at that picture of a blond haired blued haloed white man in a robe on her kitchen wall, the Evans werent getting out those projects.

So James Evans, I meant John Amos, had to leave Good Times for no black man on the outside of Negrotown can ever accept what this country has in store for us. And it doesn't matter the political affiliation: AMERICA HATES BLACK MEN.

I was forced 2think about this on a very deep level while reading an LA Times article about how the California state bar routinely targeted black male lawyers for disbarment for BS while letting well known white attorneys w/a ton of bar complaints skate.

Keep in mind this is a Democrat run state where white CNN contributor & attorney Mark Geragos can amass 56 bar complaints & the bar doesn't lift a finger to do anything to him, but a black male lawyer has a single accidental accounting error & faces suspension or disbarment.

So miss me w/this bullshit that Dems give a shit about black men. If in the bastion of Democratic power, California, professional BM can be reduced to #blackmaletragic all while Dems elevate & promote #blackgirlmagic , why should any black man think Democrats are their friends?

Also, CA has 1 of the highest rates of police shootings of unarmed blacks. So miss me more w/the idea that black life is somehow safer under Dems. Hell, in GA, it was a GOP Gov & AG that removed a racist DA& got Ahmaud Arberys family justice. & yall wonder why Stacey Abrams loss.

Black men have no more reason 2 B democrat & anti-Trump than black women have 2 believe democrats give a shit about them beyond them helping keep establishment white Dems in power. At some point, white liberals(&feminists) will throw black women away. They won't need you anymore.

That black attorney article reminded me of the ChrisRock joke about keeping a bag packed at the back door "just in case the good whitefolks took it all away" or SteveHarvey discussing how he almost went 2prison over taxes b/c people were stealing from him.

Or Marvin Lewis & other black coaches saying "we don't get 2nd chances." This is just how tenuous life if for black people, especially black men. 1 wrong move & this country will crush U. Thus, we always feel like we're living life on a ledge about 2fall.

When ChrisRock says, "when whitefolks get money, they hv money forever. When blackfolks get money, its count-down-to-a-nigga-broke-again," he's speaking an uncomfortable truth than many wont acknowledge. Its too painful 2 talk about. No Negro can eva afford 2get too comfortable.

And I don't care how many Negroes fake like they don't feel that. Unfortunately there is no #blackboymagic to hypnotize or blind us & being a black man in this country is like walking around like that Charlie Brown character w/a constant dark cloud hanging over your head.

Unlike all the black girl Linus-seishas in this country, we ain't got no damn security blanket. Better yet, BW ain't got no damn security blanket either. When white folks use them up & throw them away, all they will have is black men to catch them, that is, if we're still around.

And I'm not just talking interracial marriage. I'm talking extinction. Black women have been given an avenue to survival that most black men don't have & will never have. History repeats. Just as black women were the 1st allowed in master's house, the same is true for Dems house.

The same is true for almost every white house where black women are viewed as less threatening than black men. Thus, they are given opportunities that black men will never see & many of them are quite comfortable in walking through white doors where no black men are present.

Until black women become uncomfortable w/being embraced in spaces that don't embrace black men, they will continue to choose marriage to a job or government (alimony, child support or other court action). Black men can't compete with either.

Sadly, many BW are making this choice unconsciously. The fact of the matter is there will be a man in her house whether she realizes it or not. It just wont be a black man. The government or her job will be her lifelong husband & she will submit 2 him whether she wants to or not.

White feminists will be right there 2cheer BW along all the way & encourage them 2 discard black men & go at it alone. Herein lies the end game of white supremacy & why politics cant save us. Politics serves the goal of capitalism which rewards the individual over the collective.

Pluck a few negroes out the field. Permit them into master's house. Give them a taste of the good life & they will never look back to help the others or as Sidney Poitier said in his memoir "The Measure of a Man": "once a black person makes it out, you never want to go back."

Politics on American soil, like all things capitalism, will always serve white interests by dividing & conquering black people. This society rewards black people who turn their backs on other black people. There is no white reward for staying close to black people.

Whether they know it or not, BW are being handsomely rewarded 4 navigating life WITHOUT BLACK MEN. This is the essence of #blackgirlmagic: White folks will give U a wand & make you magical if you abandon black men.

When whitefolks open the door 2the big house& walk out on that porch, staring out into a sea of downtrodden Negroes & say "all right next nigga up," I guarantee U most Negroes will run n2 white arms quicker than an NFL HOFer abandoning an HBCU 4 whiter, I meant greener, pastures.

For the rest of us left in the field, the sight of one Negro entering master's house is met w/the sound of a cracking whip reminding us to get back to work. Think Obama's election. Ain't no need complaining about it b/c as Sean Carter aka Jay-Z has told us, "We're past kneeling."

Except we're not. Black folks ain't neva been "past kneeling." We live on our knees. Neither black celebrity nor Obamas election changed any of this. Celebrity is hollow & again, Obama's presidency was as pretty as a picture & as empty as a frame. All style. No substance.

Its all a cruel ruse & reminder that neither celebrity nor politics can save us. As Ice Cube said in Higher Learning, "We behind enemy lines dog." There is no denying that this is a hell of a way to live, but then again, black people don't get to live. We only get to survive.
