The visit from the top US military commander comes at a time when the TTP has recently called off its ceasefire with the Pak establishment and border tensions have been escalating between Pakistan and Afghanistan following deadly skirmishes on the Chaman-Spin Boldak border. 4/6
Many Pashtun activists have termed the rise of militancy in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as a well-planned strategy to lure dollars from the US. When the Pak army lack budget, they impose fake terrorism on Pashtun soil and then decry of being a terror victim. 5/6
