Letting go of stuff you no longer need. No better time doing that than end of the year!

I’m a gatherer of things. That’s my modus operandi.
However, as much as I like to collect things, I’m also keenly aware of the power of letting go.

Here's 16 things you can let go of:
1) Screenshots of things you no longer need. Check your screenshot folder on your machine. And phone.

2) Domain names your never going to find the time (read: priority) to pursue and turn into actual projects. Just let them go.
3) Draft posts in your #WordPress Dashboard. Ideas you haven’t touched in a loooong time (think years). Go ahead and delete them.

4) Whatever is in your Downloads folder on your machine. Full of everything? Time to develop a better filing strategy!
5) Old boxes that once came with your new devices. Think iPhone, Mac, iPads (or whatever you have in your Android world 🙃)

6) Reminders in reminder apps full of things you still “need” to do. If it's been there longer than a year, it's time to delete them.
7) Same goes for Notes in your notes app. Anything that's still saved there with information that is no longer relevant. Just let it go.

8) Duplicate images on my devices. If you're running iOS, check for the Duplicates album in your Photos app, for instance.
9) Any old pair of shoes that you have as extras. You're never really going to use them anymore, are you?! Just get rid of them.

10) Newsletter or other email subscriptions that you dismiss too regularly. Time to let go and find a better one: remk.us/subscribe
11) That jar full of old screws, keys, bolts, and whatnot. Surely you've had that thing for years now? Time to let go.

12) Electrical cords, chargers, USB cables, etc. You know what I mean, you have one of those boxes as well!
13) Old phones that were already ancient in 2015. You really need that old iPhone 3G laying around still? Really??

14) Food and ingredients that are waaay past due.
15) That pile of books that you're never going to read. It's been there for years now, hasn't it?

16) And anything else you can think of right now. Let's start the new year fresh!

Let me know in the replies what I've forgotten!
