🚨LIVE from Cincinnati hospital covering the FACTS about Damar Hamlin's sudden collapse and current condition.

Here is what we know:

-We have confirmed that Damar Hamlin is indeed alive. However, he is currently on a ventilator and in critical condition.
- According to NFL medical staffers, Hamlin’s heart DID stop while on the field, but after 9 seconds of CPR, they were able to restart it.

- Hamlin’s hit was considered by many to APPEAR as average by NFL standards, but the details of WHERE he was hit is unknown at this time.
- The severity of this injury cannot be understated, as it is EXTREMELY rare for the NFL to completely cancel a game midway through—especially a high stakes game like this.
- No player has died directly resulting from an on-field injury in over 51 years, so the fact we’ve come this close to potential tragedy is exceptionally noteworthy.

- There is massive speculation about the cause of Hamlin’s collapse, and it seems a heart problem is the cause.
- These players undergo vigorous physicals very regularly, so what caused this sudden assumed heart issue is yet to be determined

@nicksortor has spent HOURS live at the Cincinnati hospital covering the story. We'll keep updating you LIVE below and we'll start a space if needed.
We have a panel of doctors joining the space to discuss Damar Hamlin's situation and the #DiedSuddendly theories/concerns.

We asked @P_McCulloughMD to join and he shared the following statement:
"Too early to speculate. I am the most senior cardiologist weighing in. here is my quote: "I watched the play live both as a fan and a cardiologist and I saw blunt neck and chest trauma, a brief recovery after the tackle and then a classic cardiac arrest."

Continued 👇
"I have communicated to one of the most experienced trainers in the world and we agree that it was a cardiac arrest in the setting of a big surge of adrenalin. If Damar Hamlin indeed took one of the COVID-19 vaccines, then subclinical vaccine-induced myocarditis must be..."
"...considered in the differential diagnosis. We have been told he was successfully defibrillated on the field and has been intubated and is not spontaneously breathing which is consistent with anoxic encephalopathy. The nation prays for his complete recovery."
🚨JUST IN - Live from the hostpital:

- As previously reported by @nicksortor, who's still at the hospital covering the story, the US Government has set up outposts near the UC Medical Center where Damar Hamlin is currently in critical condition.

Recent updates re this:
- The Fed got startled & brought in additional resources because Joe Biden is coming on Wednesday & they didn’t want “trouble” if Hamlin were to die under mysterious circumstances

-"I personally followed several of these vehicles to one of the locations before being forced away"
More updates from Nick, Live from UC Medical Center:

- Number of news outlets at the scene tripled in the past 2 hours

- The reporters here are getting pissed about the lack of updates. One of the local reporters just threw her script in the ground is said “fuck this shit”
Update from @TanyaORourke:

"I just spoke to the Dir of PR from UC health. She tells me there are NO plans for an update on Damar’s status today. If that changes, she promises to let me know."
Damar Hamlin's Chasing M's foundation has raised more than $4.4 million on GoFundMe, campaign says - gofundme.com/f/mxksc-the-ch…
The cause of Damar's collapse is unknown, and today's space discussed 2 main theories:

Vaccine-induced myocarditis VS Commodio Cordis

I asked my team to research both and summarize them for you all. Here's their report, and my thoughts at the end:
1/ Less than an hour since the collapse, Turning Point USA’s Charlie Kirk decided to blame the injury on coronavirus vaccines.

But it’s not just Kirk (and DeSantis).

Fox News’s Tucker Carlson has been powering the idea for months.
"There have been too many recent #diedsuddenly cases to deny it anymore," wrote failed Nevada GOP gubernatorial candidate Joey Gilbert.
"Prior to 2021, Athletes collapsing on the field was NOT a normal event. This is becoming an undeniable (and extremely concerning) pattern," insisted Lauren Witzke, a conservative commentator and failed Delaware GOP Senate candidate.
Some theories have cited reports on the CDC's Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS), which allows anyone to submit a report and the reports are not verified.
Washington Post fact-checker Glenn Kessler says that the story of athletes dropping dead from coronavirus vaccines has its roots in mysterious Austrian websites with ties to that country's far-right populist party, the Freedom Party.
2/ Most physicians on the other hand, explain an incredibly rare event that ‘likely caused’ Damar Hamlin’s cardiac arrest.
Chris Haddock, a cardiology physician from Ringgold, GA, proposed that Hamlin had suffered a "commotio cordis" where a blow to the chest at a precise moment in the electrical cycle stops the heart.
Loss of consciousness starts about 8 seconds after the last heartbeat and circulatory standstill occurs after 10–15 seconds
The above is a short summary of both theories. We discussed them at length in our space ealier: twitter.com/i/spaces/1yoJM…

As of now, there has been no official confirmation on Hamlin's exact condition, everything is SPECULATION.

My final thoughts:
As usual, we had a very balanced panel today with doctors arguing both theories.

Both theories should be discussed, and while uncensored discussions are important, it's also important to stick to facts and avoid factually wrong information being shared.
We do not know what caused Damar's collapse and should try to poke holes in all theories, as long as we do not leverage this event to advance our agenda

I will continue to try to bring transparency to all debates, avoiding echo chambers and bias.
Most importantly, our thoughts go to Damar Hamali, who's still in critical condition, as well as Damar's family, friends, and everyone impacted by this unfortunate event❤
🚨Damar Hamlin hospital just had a fire at the sub basement, seemingly small, possibly a mechanical fire

This is VERY far from where Damar is located and unrelated

Confirmed by @nicksortor who's live there and filmed the below video.

🧵🇺🇸 ELON’S DOGE IS HUNGRY FOR BUREAUCRACY — AND WASHINGTON’S FEELING THE BITE

@DOGE, Elon’s latest mission to fix what’s broken in D.C., just dropped a week of bold, flashy moves.

Less bloated bureaucracy, more sharp scissors.

Here’s what they pulled off this week — whether you love it, hate it, or just want to understand what the heck’s going on: 🧵👇Image
1. THE CREDIT CARD CRACKDOWN

Ever wonder how many credit cards the government has?

Try 4.6 million. And nearly 50,000 of them were just sitting there, unused.

DOGE shut down 48,000 P-cards (Government Purchasing Cards) this week — part of a $30 billion chunk of spending.

They say it’s a push to streamline the $40B annual spend machine.Image
2. NIH GRANTS GET THE AXE

DOGE told the NIH to cancel 7 grants — including $532K for testosterone tests on mice and $33K for rat-based hormone therapy studies.

Earlier cuts included $699K on cannabis research in LGBTQ+ communities and $620K on teen pregnancy studies.

The message is clear, and good to hear: no more government cash for niche science experiments.Image

Trump’s aggressive new tariffs—hitting cars, steel, tech, and more—are sparking fierce global backlash.

With duties reaching as high as 50%, allies are furious, rivals are retaliating, and markets are rattled.

From China to India to Australia, here’s how world leaders are reacting—some are fighting back, others are pleading for diplomacy.

Let’s break it down country by country 👇Image
1. 🇨🇳 CHINA

Beijing’s Ministry of Commerce:

“We strongly oppose the U.S. tariffs.

If the U.S. insists, China will fight until the end.”

Trump is now threatening 104% tariffs on Chinese imports starting tonight—one of the largest escalations in modern trade history. Image
2. 🇪🇺 EUROPEAN UNION

Ursula von der Leyen:

“We have offered zero-for-zero tariffs for industrial goods.

We are also prepared to respond through countermeasures and defend our interests.”

What if AI didn’t just answer your homework but taught you how to think?

Anthropic’s new "Claude for Education" is here to flip the script on AI in classrooms. This isn’t about cheating—it’s about learning smarter.

Let’s break it down in this thread 🧵👇
1. First up: the star of the show—Learning Mode.

Instead of spitting out answers, Claude asks you questions like “How would you solve this?” or “What’s your evidence?”

It’s like having a Socratic tutor in your pocket, pushing critical thinking over rote responses. Image
2. Imagine tackling calculus or drafting a thesis.

Claude doesn’t just solve it for you—it guides you step-by-step, reinforcing concepts.

Early tests show it’s already helping students at Northeastern, LSE, and Champlain College.

50,000+ users at Northeastern alone—wild. Image
