I’m showing off the music sync and the new wave-activated table lighting. The fans were simply not enough light. Fixed it! #crbox@CorsIAQ@DUALIPA
Clean air eating, well lit table, and some disco beats. 2023 turning out just fine lol #kraken
Some stills. It’s so quiet, 41db, I don’t even hear it above the ringing in my ears from blasting Dua. The warm white LEDs throw a ton of light; it’s also dimmable via hand wave

Since XBB15 seems to have an easier time infecting via your eyes, it’s more important now to wear protection. If I don’t wear my prescription glasses, I like this cheapo “stoggle” from Amazon. Comes as shades too. Has stealthy side shields. For all you non-glasses wearers
They are the most normal looking cheapo safety glasses I could find. There are a few styles. $10 or less.
Smaller bottom filter aim fans 45° down so they light the table not the wall. More chandelier-like. Square, so good for sq/round tables. Figured out “warm white” which is nice.
Some stills n build pix. Song is @radiohead’s Everything in it’s Right Place. Again it’s a mix of fans so not a final design, just a first shot at my “different sizes” idea to get light onto the table
Covered the edge of the top filter with a strip of white gaffers tape and <chef’s kiss>. White wire coming soon for finishing touch
The No COVID Chandelier is HERE!
Just in time for Thanksgiving
18 fans, 990cfm raw, 2x 14x30 @3M Filtretes. 46db. Cleans the aerosols straight from up the table, spreads clean air in 360 directions at all the guests. #crbox
Fandelier has been coined by a few of you. I like it! The song is the inimitable Post Malone singing second half of his song Waiting For a Miracle which is just a freaking great vocal performance w/ best reverb ever. The view from dinner tonight, no guests just us:
“And everything done for the dead after they're dead is for the living
And everything done while they're dead goddammit, that's our decision
I kept my eyes closed, it was easy, now I see it with perfect vision
And everything done for the dead after they're dead is for the living
Fresh #crbuild@robwiss mega-sandwich style. 2x @3m Filtrete 14x30, 12 (new record?) fans total, 6 Asiahorse s001 on top and 2x Matrix 360 3-fan units for the sides. 660cfm raw. 2 controllers for visual fx, overkill. Finally you can eat without worries 😄#crbox#corsirosenthalbox
Some stills. I will try and post a complete parts list but I’d like to simplify it first, this was made from a bunch of stuff I had rather than tuned for ease of build
567 CADR, theoretical. 41db 1m from the filter face, 45db 1m out from the fan. Pretty quiet, quieter than 9 fan AL Panel because it has 3 more fans but double the filter surface area. Much less resistance so fans run quieter, more cadr.
An easier to make and service 9 fan #ALPanel for you all! I realize wiring is the hard part so this is all just connector plugs, no tricky wiring and no controller. Added a plenum that makes swapping out the filter a cinch. And finally finger guards. Rainbow ONLY Details in 🧵
With all the parts, it’s like legos. Total around $140
-3x 3 packs Novonest Auto Rainbow 120mm fans
-14x14x1 @3M Filtrete MERV13 + Box it came in
-12V/3A Power Supply
4x 4-way fan connectors (Etsy)
2x 2-way fan connectors (Etsy, optional)
9x fan finger guards black
Black tape
Unpack 9 fans, line them up in a grid. Run wires carefullly. Orientation doesn’t matter for LEDs, I adjust fans so wires meet up with about the same length sticking out. Test. Merge with 4 ways. I used 2 ways to channel the wires, not nec tho. Test again. All wires are 4 pin fan
Here’s a slim portable #ALPanel. 200mm 103cfm Coolermaster fan, 10x10 Nordic Pure MERV 13 + carbon. Black masking tape + 2 rubber feet. Easily fits in a bag or backpack, has much simpler wiring because it’s 1 fan. Leave the LEDs off and it just needs 1 normal USBA plug or batt
It’s probably pretty low CADR, say 20-40, but it definitely cleans the air in my bedroom over time. Very quiet, basically silent, easy to sleep with it on. Fan is $29, runs off the simple power supply pinned on my profile.
I have a more powerful fan this size but it’s a lot louder. I prefer this one for the silence. I’m going to make a few new portable designs, ones you can actually put in a bag as that seems to be really sought after rn
