This first episode was a great introduction to the four members of Lyrical Lily, who were the only ones left of the six starting units to not get in on the anime.
Episode itself was mostly set-up, but fun. #D4DJ_AllMix 01
So, let's answer the question we know many are wondering about.
Are Hayate and Kokoa, the girls that are canonically dating and have kissed in-game, in this anime?
This first episode took place right after new years, Hayate and Kokoa don't start attending Arisugawa Academy until April.
It seems each episode might be one month across a year, so they will appear in episode 4 at the earliest. #D4DJ_AllMix 01
Here's the good news. The two are dating *before* they start high school, so once we see them they will already be a couple! #D4DJ_AllMix 01
But yeah, fun first episode. Enjoyed it a lot. If you liked the first season you'll like this too, if you didn't... well, probably not. #D4DJ_AllMix 01

Like, having to spend the rest of your life paying a company that is already making more money than you'll ever see because of leaking entertainment product assets...
Fuck, we hate Nintendo so much.
Nintendo are not unique, of course... Let's talk about Alex Gembe.
None of them should be voiced for regular dialogue. It has completely killed a key part of the charm of the Zelda series - like so many other series before it.
As someone who *never* played the Zelda games as "Link" the fact that his name isn't even player choice any more is bad enough without having him suddenly talk a bunch.
FFXIV doing partial voice acting in order to still keep the player customizable (and to allow for more dialogue and story without sinking the budget entirely) is the best version of voice acting in larger games tbh.
We actually think it's perfectly valid to be annoyed a AAA action game won't run at 60 FPS on the main console it's been marketed for.
But it's also really funny how we've seen this happen three console cycles in a row now.
Console launches with the promise of a new standard only for it to be to hard to optimize for regularly because of the constant rising tech expectations of video games.
Remember when they tried to get around it by arguing 30 FPS was "more cinematic" because films tend to play at 24 FPS, completely forgetting that films don't have player input where a higher framerate can be advantageous?
Context for anyone who doesn't watch Glee: One episode is suddenly interrupted by gunshots and what follows is a huge chunk of the show played without any jokes as everyone fears for their life and goes into hiding. It's very very awkward.
No one is hurt, as it turns out the gun went off when a teacher was taking it away from the student that brought it. But yeah, it's... a choice.
One of those many strange choices made in the production of Glee.
