For more details on how to build your confidence, use humor and rhetorical judo moves, and how to improve your public speaking skills, persuade people, and win arguments and debates, you can pre-order my new book #WinEveryArgument, which is out next month: amazon.com/Win-Every-Argu…
'Practice how you “look”' is one of the sub-headings in my forthcoming book #wineveryargument. That Summers didn't think about his backdrop & posture as he insisted other folks lose their jobs is kinda mad.
My new book 'Win Every Argument: The Art of Debating, Persuading, and Public Speaking' comes out next month, Feb 28th, so there'll be lots of shameless plugs for it on this Twitter account in the coming days and weeks. #sorrynotsorry
The leader of the Republican Party and the owner of Twitter have both spent the past week or so nodding to, winking at, or outright promoting QAnon and Pizzagate.
It's hard for me to describe to you how dangerous, how crazy, how unprecedented, this all is.
You gotta be wondering what Joe Manchin is thinking this morning.
Also, I have always believed that Sinema was worse than Manchin and so her pulling this move before Manchin did is a vindication of that view.
Sinema owes her entire career to the Democratic Party, she’s been endlessly indulged by party leadership, but she waits till a moment of celebration for the Democrats to make this announcement. Like I’ve said before, it goes way beyond politics or ideology - she’s just awful.
This is worth a watch. We can enjoy football and the World Cup, and appreciate it being held in the Middle East and a Muslim-majority country for the first time, while also recognizing the undeniable controversies and human rights abuses associated with this tournament in Qatar:
What has been annoying me though is the hypocrisy of folks like the French who have been banning fan zones and outdoor screens to protest Qatar, even though Macron attended the final in Russia (!) in 2018, and even though they're fine with the Qataris owning Paris Saint-Germain!
Also, if Trump comes back in '24, will folks boycott the next World Cup in '26 in the U.S.? Should the U.S. be boycotted anyways because of *our* human rights abuses (Guantanamo still open! Iraq invasion! Support for bombing of Yemen! Etc etc etc)? Who decides who gets boycotted?
