Notable proposed changes in this proposed version of #HR3: Housekeeping Resolution:

👉Increase in #txlege staff compensation from a max $5,280/mo ($63,360) to that of $6,000/mo ($72,000). One staff member can still be exempted from this cap.

👉 Increase in monthly operating account credit from $15,250/mo ($183k/yr) to $17,250/mo ($207k/yr) in session and $15,500/mo (186k/yr) in #txlege interim.

🤔Also notable is a new section (SECTION 5.11) on prohibiting the use of House funds for "political purposes"

No "pre-filed" amendments were made public on TLO. Unclear how many proposed amendments there are to get through #txlege

@willmetcalfTX (author of #HR3) offers an amendment to increase the salary cap and office allotment even more.

The sole amendment to #HR3 now showing on TLO. It increased the max #txlege staff compensation to that of $6,780/mo ($81,360/year) & increased monthly operating account credit to $19,250/mo ($231k/yr) in session and $17,500/mo 210k/yr) in #txlege interim.
