And then Mearls was back on D&D and Tasha's was supposed to fix the racism in character creation and amounted to "just do what you want" and they de-racisted Strahd but didn't really change anything and didn't touch the consent problems... And it was always just normal.

Well, #DnD, WotC, and Hasbro have learned that no matter he tempest they kick up, they will never actually be held accountable.
Everyone will just go back.
Everyone will make excuses.
Say they will do better "next time."

But now it is the next time. Hasbro has learned. They've learned that they will never face any real repercussions.

So, okay, cancel those d&d beyond subscriptions. Send a message. They'll be waiting there, arms wide open, once we stop yelling about this. And there won't be any kind of real, open license, because they don't care what we say or do, because it will all just go back.

Hasbro won't change. Not until they face actual consequences. And the only consequences that matter are enough of us staying the fuck away from D&D. Forever. Committing to the 1000s of other games. Not owned by huge multinational toy companies. And creating actual competition. /8

bonus: the problem isn't Hasbro. The problem is that 1 brand is the popular conception of the entire industry. That doesn't work. It never has. Which is also why US internet speed sucks, basically. 🤷🏻‍♀️ tldr: Hasbro knows you don't really mean it
