Please can everyone read and share this. As a specialist in how much tech can and can't replace staff, we need to question the government claims re #NHSCrisis and efficiency gains Vs funding
I never beg folk for retweets, but some things warrant that. The thread above quoted many Drs and other experts on history and plans here for our #NHS service

It used this example to ask if it would be an NHS inefficiency
This is not restructuring or tech solution needed. It is NHS staff
We have many vested interests trying to persuade us otherwise
Staff are being both brutalised and lied about as part of this
I know the usual challenge when this is shared is 'who is talking about a US health care model'
Not weak equivocation from Barclay bylinetimes.com/2023/01/09/cri…
And this response to the Crisis.

You may recognise @RoyLilley as an expert on the NHS challenges

Responding to @ShaunLintern the Sunday Times Health expert
More on the private equity role in US healthcare services if interested
If you were not aware this story is about a Tory donor who works in private equity. He recently sold many children's homes to an Abu Dhabi wealth fund. Then he got his NHS role, along with another donor. Maybe rightly concerned?

@premnsikka has been shouting himself hoarse about this going on across all UK sectors. Maybe a small perverse incentive for some?
Noting the last still in the tweet quoted above was this woman
While talking heads like this can spin whatever appalling rubbish they want to try to discredit them
Who to trust now? Tough one

If all of our NHS staff move to the private sector to get liveable fair pay, the brakes come off pricing

No fall back to NHS means no choices. Maybe quickly, or more slowly, but that is the direction
Oh go on, just one more. A fee paying model means billing, ad spend, margins added at every step of the process and no NHS to bulk bargain with an ethical code with pharmaceutical firms and other suppliers. All that extra cost goes to you. If you qualify

I have been watching what has gone on in the US and now UK

See my last thread for the why this is utterly inexcusable and entirely self-serving of the UK
Race related nonsense will often partner the same for any mention of LGBTQ communities existing
We saw our government warned against this by a US Republican who is an expert in political polling

Watching #PoliticsLive on this #PublicOrderBill, it is appalling

The commentator pictured in the below tweet is from the Heritage Foundation think tank. We are on a very dark path here on all fronts

As supplement to this assertion, something below on healthcare

Very explicit link to #NHSCrisis
It is management by bankers for bankers. Do you see different?

Please correct me if you disagree

To me this reads like a govt think tank advertorial. A commission to report before the next election on dissatisfaction with the NHS
It is not working. The government broke it. They knew population forecasts and left it in no state to withstand covid. Of course we are all pissed off and suffering if we need to leverage the services Image
We know this changed over time Image
