Aadland’s platform includes ending the mail-in ballot system used by the vast majority of Coloradans, closing Republican primaries to unaffiliated voters, and “getting rid of the current voting machines.”
Aadland was unsuccessful in attracting national GOP support in his run for the open 7th Congressional District seat in Colorado, which Republicans initially thought could be competitive in a friendly year. Aadland lost to @pettersen4co by 15%.
Aadland’s decision to run for state party chair marks a change of heart on the issue. His spokeswoman said on Dec 19 that we would not run.
Other candidates for @cologop chair include @Casper4Colorado, who has suggested Antifa was behind the Jan 6 attack, and @AaronJoelWood, known for protesting drag shows and organizing a protest in a Boot Barn parking lot where GOP leaders were assailed as “whores” and “asswipes.”
