As hundreds pack the hallway of the Nebraska state Capitol, the @NebraskaFreedom Coalition is in hearing room 1113 to bring you testimonials for and against LB 314, 17, and Constitutional Carry - LB77. We will be testifying in support of LB 77 later today 👍🇺🇲 Stay tuned... 👀
@MomsDemand is on site, as is representation from @GunOwners of America, who passed out these hats to those waiting in line 👍 a quick gauge of the crowd has those in favor of constitutional carry out numbering those against - 2 to 1 it would seem 💯 God bless America #2A 🇺🇲
Of note, Republican Senator Geist was at a campaign event earlier and missed the first of 3 bills! Last session, Geist did not support constitutional carry. We hope she gets real and listens to her constituents, in support of constitutional carry this session 👍
We would like to dedicate this song to Senator Geist ❤
Senator Tom Brewer is getting ready to present his testimony on LB 77. They will hear from proponents first, and then swap the room out for those opposed as there are so many who have showed up today 🔫 #2A
@JustinTWayne says LB 77 potentially may not be visited for a few weeks as they are currently working on a plethora of items within the legislature and committees...
Senator Brewer says he has brought this up time and time again as it's too important not to. His colleague, Republican Senator Suzanne Geist, who has not supported constitutional carry because of pressure from outside groups, listens on in the background...
The proponents of LB 77. Lots of coffee this morning delivers the shaky blurred picture. Apologies.
We have many friends in this room. We respect their understanding and support for our Constitution 🇺🇲👍 #2A
Sen Brewer makes the poignant statement that this shouldn't come @ odds w/ anybody in law enforcement. The Omaha police dept were one of the groups who pressured Senators like Suzanne Geist to not support constitutional carry."Let's move forward & follow the constitution."-Brewer
Senator Blood, fresh off her failed gov bid, asks why we don't just follow what the federal government does? Senator Brewer explicitly states how there are many things the federal government has failed at, and that he is focused on what he can do for the state of Nebraska 💪👏
As testimony in support of constitutional carry continues on, with many more still to speak, it seems as if the line of opponents is 'Wayning'... (pun intended)
Now developing, the @Lincoln_Police Chief is lining up to testify against LB 77. As you can see, she is carrying a firearm... Will she be asked to put her firearm away while she testifies? Senator Wayne exclaimed guns were props in this instance. What standard will be followed 🤔
Police officers are sworn to protect and serve, yet many of them advocate for laws that would disarm and disenfranchise law-abiding citizens. This hypocrisy undermines trust in law enforcement #GunRights#PoliceReform
The history of gun laws in America is rooted in racism, with laws dating back to the Jim Crow era designed to disarm Black Americans, yet Democrats continue to fight for these laws. We must acknowledge this past and work towards true justice. #JimCrowLaws#GunReform
@OmahaPolice Chief is now testifying against LB 77 simply because crime is out of control in Omaha. Here's a novel concept, maybe if people were able to defend themselves, that would be a deterrent to crime... Much too simple a concept to grasp apparently 🤷♂️ #2A
Does the constitution say anything about not needing to be adhered to simply because of the larger population of a city? Why does the Omaha police Chief think the constitution doesn't apply to people in Omaha 🤔
Law enforcement officer Patrick Dempsey (Yes, that's his name) is now testifying that no one in the world today is more aware of what's going on than police officers. For the record.
Wait are @NebraskaDems pro-cop now? We thought it was #FuckThePolice?? Why would you want the people who "oppress you" and "kill black people" to be the only ones with guns?! Sounds racist, or something... @janekleeb any comment 🤔
San Francisco plant, @Lincoln_Police Chief Teresa Ewins, is now testifying against constitutional carry. Weird. San Francisco is in ruins. Crime in Lincoln is on the up.. But, must keep the mad queen, @MayorLeirion happy! Nebraska doesn't need west coast liberalism smh #pathetic
Testifier from @MomsDemand says her friend was shot -in Chicago.. which has some of the strictest gun laws in the country. Do these people not realize that criminals don't follow laws? Limiting law abiding gun owners doesn't keep anyone safer, these people are kidding themselves
It has become apparent that those in opposition to constitutional carry are repeatedly trying to elicit an emotional response with repetitive diatribes 🤡 it must be getting tiresome for those on the committee... #2A
Classic 'Judy' is back testifying, comparing Nebraska gun owners to terrorists. Listen for yourself. We're not really sure what else she is talking about but its a good representation of those who voiced their opposition today 👍 easy to see who has the level head in this debate!
& that's a wrap on a full day at the Nebraska State Capitol 😉 We're still unsure whether Sen Suzanne Geist supports constitutional carry or not🤷♂️but more on that to come. God bless America and thanks to those who stood up for the second ammendment today👍 @threadreaderapp unroll

Uncovered in Hunter Biden's indictment: a staggering evasion of $1.4M in taxes, false tax returns, and extravagant spending while owing taxes. Lavish lifestyles, with $1.2M on personal luxuries like exotic cars and hotels, all while dodging tax responsibilities.
If found guilty, such financial misconduct could lead to severe penalties, including substantial prison time per count.
Remember, this is the smartest man Joe Biden knows.
#Accountability #TaxEvasion
The indictment document reveals several instances where Hunter Biden made payments to women, which were questionable in nature:
1. Payments to Women for Personal Services:Hunter Biden made payments to various women who were either romantically involved with him or performing personal services. This included a $10,000 payment for his membership in a sex club. He also claimed these expenses as false business deductions, thus falsely reducing his reported income for tax purposes.
2. False Payroll Deductions: He falsely claimed that money paid to women with whom he had personal relationships were wages, thereby reducing his tax burden. Despite little to no business activity, he directed his personal assistant to place three women with whom he had romantic or sexual relationships, and a fourth woman related to one of them, on payroll and provide them with health care benefits. These expenses were falsely treated as business expenses on Owasco PC’s Form 1120, reducing the reported income.
3. Specific Payments to Individual’s: He made a $1,500 Venmo payment to an exotic dancer at a strip club, labeling the payment as for “artwork” when no artwork was sold. Additionally, there was a $975 payment to “Crutch Card” for the benefit of his then-girlfriend, which was unrelated to any business activity, and a $438 payment to “Shinola,” a clothing store, for personal items.
These actions suggest a pattern of using business accounts for personal expenses and falsely categorizing them as business deductions, impacting his tax liabilities.
The indictment against Hunter Biden outlines several questionable actions:
1. Tax Evasion Scheme: He engaged in a scheme from January 2017 to October 2020 to avoid paying at least $1.4 million in self-assessed federal taxes for the years 2016 through 2019. This included evading the assessment of taxes for 2018 by filing false tax returns in February 2020.
2. Extravagant Lifestyle Over Tax Payments: He spent millions of dollars on an extravagant lifestyle instead of paying his tax bills. This included large expenditures on luxury items and living expenses.
3. Failure to File Tax Returns: He willfully failed to file his tax returns for 2017 and 2018.
4. False Business Deductions:When he finally filed his 2018 tax returns, he included false business deductions to evade the assessment of substantial tax liabilities.
5. Financial Support for Personal Expenses* Between January and October 2020, an entertainment lawyer provided him with substantial financial support, including paying for a lavish house, a Porsche, and other personal expenses, amounting to over $1.2 million. This support was used for various personal expenses but not to pay his federal individual income tax liabilities.
6. Summary of Expenditures: A summary of approximate expenditures made from Owasco PC and the Defendant’s Bank Accounts from 2016 to 2019 was provided, detailing his personal expenses during this period.
These actions, as outlined in the indictment, paint a picture of significant financial mismanagement and legal transgressions, particularly concerning tax obligations and personal expenditures.
📎 Attached are photos that preview the comprehensive 27-page document that presents a compelling case for a change in Sarpy County GOP leadership. It's time for new beginnings! ⏳
The totality of these pages showcases the dire need to bid farewell to the current leadership, plagued by ineffective decision-making and incompetence. 🚫🤝
Take a look at the numerous instances outlined within the document.
From obstructing the creation of a credentialing committee to adjourning meetings without proper procedures, the evidence speaks volumes. 🗂️📝
Robbie Adams, Margie Mosier, Michael Elkins, among others, experienced unacceptable delays & disrespect in their pursuit of membership.
🚨Now at the Nebraska State Capitol 🚨
Debate on 574 is underway, well ahead of schedule!!
Senator @George4NE on the mic now, and even as lawyers go, using some of the most hyperbolic language we've heard this legislative session 🤡 We're curious, George, is your practice of law… twitter.com/i/web/status/1…
We will be keeping you updated minute to minute as things proceed this afternoon.
Now on the floor, @JustinTWayne and Speaker Arch having discussions with the Clerk of the legislature and Lt. Governor Joe Kelly. The conversation is intense, as Wayne has motioned to recommit the… twitter.com/i/web/status/1…
@JustinTWayne is now attempting to overrule the chair, reading off from Mason's Manual of Legislative Procedure.
Seen again as a way to consume time, and a way to vent frustration on the rules passed earlier in the session.
Wayne has come with some energy this afternoon, but we… twitter.com/i/web/status/1…
We wondered where he went when the Unicameral floor turned to lava for the Democrats. As soon as bills starting moving and the inevitable passing of LB77 (Constitutional Carry) to final round, Dip Dunker went comms silent. Don’t read his link to the Urinal Star. We took notes:
Sen. Erdman’s rules change passed 32-13 “The new rule is narrower than a proposed change considered by the Rules Committee earlier this year, which stipulated individual senators could only introduce each of the three priority motions once per day on each stage of debate.”
“We are blowing up this session,” @senatormachaela said. “This session is over and it’s on your terms because the terms were made clear to you for the last 4-6 weeks. You ignored that, you didn’t care.
We are back this afternoon as the legislature reconvenes!
We will bring you the important updates as the day progresses but right now here's a live look 👇👇👇
Anyone inside in there? Lights are off 💭 lol
Things starting to pick up here this afternoon:
-Senator @NebraskaMegan Hunt threatens Republican colleagues a few times
- Speaker Jon Arch says Hunt was late coming back from lunch, that's why she was skipped over
Sen. Hunt is consistently late in the mornings & for committees
Senator Hunt rudely attempts to speak while the Speaker has his time. Speaker Arch proceeds to say, "Please Senator."
Arch continues to say the session is not over (in response to Hunt earlier this morning)
Live at the Capitol this morning, Senator Steve Erdman moves to suspend the rules 💪 He says, "If you like the way things have went the first 50 days, vote against this rule change.
If you would like to get your bill to the floor for debate, vote for this rule change." #neleg
Speaker Jon Arch begins right off by saying he supports this rule change, then cites Mason's rules as to how this is perfectly acceptable. #neleg
Senator Conrad, from the fightin 46 🤡 cites the wildly fake news @JournalStarNews (@ChrisDunkerLJS) & says this is 'problematic' & 'unprecedented', using hyperbolic language and sounding crazy. She's big mad😳
30 votes needed to suspend the rules. Are there enough? We think so..
