A culture of intimidation to enable the weaponisation of the law. Servility to corporate silos is demanded. Enables unethical behaviours and practices. Bad for staff and the public.

This is an APS wide problem across a range of critical corporate functions. #APSreform #auspol

A consequence of the death of frank and fearless advice.

Autocratic demands for blind compliance are endemic. That has been driven by autocratic politicians. Senior officials and aspiring senior official soon learn what is expected. Staff learn to shut up. #APSreform #auspol

Confirming, yet again, the pervasiveness of moral disengagement. Superiors blocking action being taken to address serious matters of integrity and ethics.

Bluntly. Reputation trumped ethics. With tragic results and despite any notions of duty of care. A corporate culture riddled with moral disengagement is at the core of this.

Despite the fact harm was being done. That staff had raised it. Despite all public servants, all agencies, having a duty of care.

Despite the fact that via technology great harm can be done on an industrial scale. Moral disengagement literally hard wired. #APSreform #auspol

Why does it take a Royal Commission to have conversations that should be had as a *matter of course?

The APS needs a capability make *that happen across the board.

Note: Its is all to often said culture change in organisations is hard and takes time. Given the problems we face its time for a more precise approach
