The Tories are working to answer the question 'Why did she stay so long?'

Women, as Thiel said, are a 'difficult constituency' for these market fundamentalists, as are hundreds of thousands who work and are now forced to rely on food banks and benefits to make it to next payday
This is also incredibly pertinent bylinetimes.com/2021/12/10/pet…
As is this whole thread. Relevant to #TeacherStrike and all the rest of the industrial action at the moment
It took some time to make sense of the whole thing. It is profitable
Right wing media again provides cover for the government mission
We are badly in need of honesty

We should be able to trust government
We can do so much better if we are pulling together, governed by one or two domain specialists Vs bankers. Maybe even a few genuine honest public servants
On that topic of domain experts and public service. This on the NHS
I don't 'enjoy' doing this, I have been driven to it, by the difficulty getting clear information
Perhaps that explains this initial tweet. Being lied to, hurt, then proposed better in tightening cycles is not rational governance
I explored the exhaustion and the feeling of overwhelm here
Far too close a resemblance to some recognised disinformation tactics across much of the world
The kind of tactics the government were warned against at the October conference
If they cannot be transparent on government policy, we are not being governed, we are being boiled like frogs for more of the same
A specialist in amoral boosting and then exploiting notoriety to revitalise his bank balance and public image to rinse and repeat
We are not stupid people, but they are treating us that way

Why? Because it is all they have left in the campaigning toolbox
A government who have worked so hard to gloss over and then spin impact, is asking for a huge amount of trust to amend and / or sunset thousands of laws

In context of #REUL and freeports
Do we gift these same ministers that power, when they have also been progressively eroding rights

Means to push back on impact via protests, unionisation, courts, FOI, judicial review, media, regulators?
But at base for me it is about honesty. If an informed populace is a danger to this government, this government is a danger to us /END
P.S. Long read on the election strategy work that went on at Chequers from @RobDotHutton thecritic.co.uk/We-deep-dive-a…

Curious that, as Moscow seemed delighted the with upshot of Brexit
Allegedly here, from @BylineTimes

Can you oblige with the source article?

Came across this chap thanks to an Oxford Uni debate he did on the damage done by wokeness

Then he showed up on #BBCQT
This may be adjacently related on the comms techniques that Russia uses, compared and then contrasted in replies to Bannon "Flooding the zone (media) with shit"
Here he is in case interested. He hosts 'Triggernometry' podcast

Very much a gleeful contrarian. As for any other motivation, not fussed about it. Just adding context

Yes, when everyone else is in there thinking "Shit, is it me next?"
"But Johnson did it 🤷‍♀️"

"I know! I wouldn't have put that other bit on expenses, or done that teeny bit of consulting for that other government's wealth fund if I thought it was an issue"
"Tell me about it. I asked the Deputy PM and he tapped the side of his nose and said - we all have a few things that are best to be discrete about - which is what someone else told me about my being bullied by him"

Everything our government are advertising as aim represents a bubble bursting, a cycle to more regulated commoditisation, or workforce supply hitting limits elsewhere in the world

Uberisation, crypto, move fast and break us natural resource, bank speculation, data exploitation
Truly looking like an ailing and unimaginative corporation who started a cutting edge cloud project in 2016. Board know writing is on the wall and are being courted by PE firms to sell
While watching others taking marginal gains for the last big thing, folk who were in a far better financial state to take the chances while still fresh, staff are being told they are all in this together and whipped for less pay, rights and health benefits

Will there be any independent election observers in May to document the number of people who are turned away and delays / queues relative to normal operation of polling stations?

Who could organise that without accusation of bias. I would help
Are all the staff getting adequate training? Are they prepared with response to challenge or any bad faith stirring of trouble about mail in ballots. A stitch in time, grist to mill for a fight for roll back for the next GE on basis of any real or other issues documented?
The potential for chaos being created by certain portions of the media is not a trivial concern here

Hi all you lovely people. I have been persuaded it is not super unreasonable to have a way to leave me a tip if you want to 1/2
The quoted tweet above is the bottom of the kind of thread I spend about half my work week researching to putting together

No vested interest or pay for it, just piecing together some much needed context. IMHO better informed people make for a better place for us all to live
Long way of saying if you wanted to buy me a wee coffee it would help with cost of books, fees for events, subscriptions and the other stuff OH despairs of me consuming to keep facts straight

May do some longer form bits. Will keep you lovely folk posted buymeacoffee.com/TrialByTruth
