Cambridge #incurable definition even refers to Parkinson's Disease (PD). Several PD cases have been reported after SARS. The chronic neuropsychiatric sequelae of SARS cannot be cured & can result from acute SARS infection without persistent SARS infection.

To be clear about risk of PD from SARS, there can be the presentation of PD symptoms. However, PD doesn't manifest itself unless there's persistent SARS infection, which is not tested and not treated. Parkinson's CAN be avoided but PD is #incurable

Reduced effectiveness of RAT & PCR testing; these tests can still accurately detect SARS, but Omikron & XBB have reduced reliability. XBB sheds less virus in nasal mucus for detection. Keep in mind both tests aren’t super useful for asymptomatic cases.

Why aren't American chickens #H5N1 vaccinated?
Not only has an #H5N1 vaccine always been available for day-old chicks, but it's regularly updated for circulating variants.
Only the US doesn't have mandatory #H5N1 vaccines for poultry.
If you were not previously aware, last year the @CDC was considering a vaccination campaign for chickens, which is otherwise completely optional for American farmers.

What if I told you every major novel influenza pandemic of the last 150 years originated in the US, and science-denying antivaxxer American farmers were to blame?
We thought it would be useful to review this murky American chapter in veterinary vaccine history to understand why we are seeing Highly pathogenic #H5N1 avian influenza (HPAI) evolve from zoonosis before our eyes.
HPAI was deadly to birds.
But, the cows aren't dying from Bovine Influenza #H5N1
This is why @USDA is letting #H5N1 RIP through the herd. It's preventing some cows from producing milk, but all the surviving cows will have immunity after.

There's zero evidence measles is airborne.
The problem with “evidence-based protections” and trying to get it "perfect" remains an ethical dilemma of purposely infecting humans.
The #PrecautionaryPrinciple position by the @WHO was always about Infection Control and Prevention.
@WHO Did you know there's zero scientific evidence of airborne transmission for any viral pathogen, including measles?

There's no scientific evidence SARS is airborne.

We only have anecdotal clinical observations (not scientific evidence).

I learned something today.

POTUS45 eliminated the Garbarge Feeding Regulations in the Swine Health Protection Act (SHPA) with the 2018 Farm Act. More self-regulated now if you didn't immediately guess the Garbarge Feeding amendments.

Novel influenza #H5N1 can be a huge concern for humans as a result of feeding pigs garbage, but not for the pigs.

But, Porcine Epidemic Diarrhea Virus (PEDV) is the fast-spreading swine virus that kills millions of piglets across the US every year.

Before 2018, the practice of feeding Garbage (for example dead pigs or chicken litter) to pigs was illegal and violated federal law. The SHPA no longer prohibits feeding garbage to pigs, and certain states are now allowed to "treat the garbage".

@LazarusLong13 @jcooki1E We are aware use of broiler litter as pig rations is tolerated to stimulate swine growth and appetite in several other poor nations.
@LazarusLong13 @jcooki1E We can't find anything US state-side banning such a practice. The US tend to frown upon mixed farms for swine and other animals. Swine/poultry is still somehow tolerated for smaller farms. But, poultry farms selling their litter to other farms including pig farms seem permitted?
