Florida’s concealed weapon license requires training on how to carry firearms responsibly  in public. Permitless carry would strip away this critical safety component.  
So yes, @SheriffIvey our families, children will be less safe in public.

Permitless carry legislation allows concealed firearms in public places without a permit, criminal history check, or safety training, dismantling Florida’s system of responsible gun ownership.
@Paul_Renner wants you to believe none of that will happen, when it is FACT.

Permitless carry would also overturn Florida’s longstanding prohibition on concealed carrying firearms, including assault rifles, in public.

Permitless removes safeguards that help ensure only responsible gun owners carry firearms in public, allowing carry by people who currently can not get a permit.

We know the data.
Since #Texas passed PERMITLESS CARRY, they have seen an 11% increase in gun homicide.
When this passes, we must hold our politicians, like Rep. Chuck Brannan @FLGOPMajority @JayCollinsFL , @FLSheriffs accountable for each death and injury they have facilitated.

This is the bill text that also allows non residents to carry their guns in #Florida, that's conceal carry reciprocity.

More than 7,000 Floridians are already shot and killed or wounded every single year. Florida needs more gun safety laws – not fewer.
