/1 Here's the 2nd and final part of the master thread, the show notes from @iamlewisu and I's latest episode with @DustyDeevers
/2 Pastor Deevers' pharmacy management experience comes in handy here where he breaks down why birth controls pills are bad. The intentional, premature expulsion of a preborn child through hormonal drugs are what makes these drugs abortifacient.
/3 All hormonal pills, whether combined or progestin-only, “alter cervical mucus and the endometrial lining preventing pregnancy” and are thus, abortifacient.
/4 The 3 mechanisms of action of birth control:
1) attempt to delay or hinder ovulation
2) thicken the cervical mucus to prevent sperm from passing
3) endometrial thinning to end pregnancy and thus inhibit implantation of the embryo.
/5 This third mechanism, you're essentially depending on the drug to make the womb inhospitable to babies. The embryo, the baby is not able to stay and grow, which makes this abortifacient.
/6 If more Christians understood how these pills worked, they would be more likely to not use them and find other methods to family plan. Got to get the word out!
/7 Here's some more info regarding each of these pills:
Progesterone-only Pill Abortifacient (“Minipill”). Daily pill containing progestin that thickens cervical mucus and thins the lining of the uterus; less
/8 effective, depends mainly on endometrial thinning to end pregnancy and thus inhibit implantation of the embryo. Also increases the risk of an ectopic pregnancy. 7% failure
rate according to CDC.
/9 Combination Oral Abortifacients (“The Pill”). A pill containing both estrogen and progestin that claims to work on all three mechanisms of action, of which the third is to inhibit thickening of the endometrium to prevent implantation. 7% failure rate according to CDC.
/10 Patch. Worn on skin, releases both progestin and estrogen into the bloodstream, claims to work on all three mechanisms, and third is to inhibit thickening of the endometrium enough to prevent implantation of embryo.
/11 A new patch is applied each week for three weeks, not worn week of period, in order to have a menstrual cycle.
7-9% failure rate.
/12 Vaginal Ring. NuvaRing® (etonogestrel/ethinyl estradiol vaginal ring). Releases progestin and estrogen. Placed inside vagina, worn for three weeks, removed during week of period, then, new ring inserted.
/13 According to the data sheet, NuvaRing® works on the third mechanism of action to inhibit the embryo’s implantation and is thus
abortifacient. “Alterations include changes in ... the endometrium (which reduce the likelihood of implantation).”
/14 Injection. Depo-Provera. Utilizes a high dose of synthetic progestin, depot medroxyprogesterone acetate, every 12 weeks. Failure rate is 6%. Depo-Provera is abortifacient. “Progesterone only forms alter cervical mucus and endometrial lining preventing conception"
/15 In terms of medical devices:
Nexplanon (progestin-only etonogestrel) and Norplant (levonorgestrel). Nexplanon is abortifacient as it works on the third mechanism of action by “thinning the lining of your uterus.”
/16 Intrauterine Device (IUD).
Whether hormonal or copper, only works on the third mechanism of action as an abortifacient. IUD’s are used as long-term or
/17 emergency abortifacients to create an unstable environment for the preborn child by depleting the endometrial lining, making it incapable of sustaining life.
/18 An Intrauterine Device (IUD) is a piece of copper or plastic placed inside the uterus in direct contact with the endometrial lining, which is basically the “wallpaper” of the uterus, or womb.
/19 It is well documented that IUDs function on the third mechanism of action by causing chronic inflammation of the endometrial lining, inhibiting the embryo from implanting, thereby are abortifacient.
/20 Whether it's devices or pills, it's important to recognize these are all abortifacient. Which is why it's scary that these types of drugs are now more readily available then ever nytimes.com/2021/12/16/hea…
/21 You used to have to take this type of medication under the supervision of a doctor. Not any longer. The Biden administration has now cleared the Postal Service to deliver these drugs permanently thehill.com/policy/healthc…
/22 Walgreens and CVS will also sell these pills since these requirements have been removed. cbsnews.com/news/walgreens…
/23 Without an in person visit or an ultrasound, there's no way a doctor can determine how far along a woman is in their pregnancy. Women can get these drugs without taking the former precautions, which is dangerous. They can die by self-managing their abortion.
/24 Seems the FDA is more concerned with the pockets of the #BigPharma then they are women's health, much less the health of the unborn.
/25 On to Emergency Abortion Methods:
Ulipristal Acetate (UPA), Ella. An emergency abortifacient pill taken within 120 hours (5 days) after unprotected intercourse.
/26 Ella works on the third mechanism of action by causing “alterations to the endometrium that may affect implantation.”
/27 Mifepristone (Mifeprex) “RU-486,” or in combination with Misoprostol (Cytotec). Utilized especially when the mother or prescriber believes or knows implantation has taken place.
/28 Mifepristone (oral pill) prevents implantation of a new fetus in the uterine wall and blocks the pregnancy hormone progesterone, which starves the preborn child of life-sustaining nutrients for 1-3 days.
/29 Second drug, Misoprostol (administered vaginally, sublingually, or buccally every 3 hours), induces contractions/labor and expels the murdered baby from the womb. World Health Organization recommends for chemically inducing abortion prior to 12 weeks.
/30 Methotrexate and Misoprostol. Utilized especially when the mother or prescriber believes or knows implantation has taken place.
/31 Methotrexate (developed for cancer treatment) poisons the baby, and misoprostol (ulcer treatment) induces contractions and expels the baby from the womb. Methotrexate is a chemotherapy
/32 drug with the potential for serious toxicity that may result in the death of the mother as well.
/33 LNG-EC, or Plan B® One-Step. Available over-the-counter, OTC. A synthetic progesterone pill taken within 72 hours after sex. PBOS is used when the woman or prescriber do not believe implantation has taken place.
/34 Since June 20, 2013, the FDA removed age restrictions and approved PBOS as an over-the-counter drug,
no prescription necessary.
Plan B One-Step (PBOS) has seen its share of controversy.
/35 Prior to 2022, the package insert, or drug data sheet, claimed that PBOS was abortifacient because under “Mechanism of Action” it read, “In addition, it may inhibit implantation (by altering the endometrium) [emphasis mine]. However, in 2022, the FDA updated the
/36 package insert to remove any claims that PBOS has any abortifacient effects after fertilization/conception, “Plan B One-Step is not effective in terminating an existing pregnancy.”
/37 The FDA released a “Decisional Memorandum” claiming that PBOS does not perform either the second or third mechanisms of action, but only works to delay or inhibit the release of the egg from the ovary.
/38 “Data are strong for a mechanism of action of delay or prevention of ovulation, and data are weak to speculative regarding any postovulatory mechanistic effects, such as on fertilization or implantation”
/39 This means that they are lying about the abortifacient nature of Plan B to deceive #ProLife people, the only people who would care about the abortifacient nature of such a drug.
/40 Pastor Deevers also explains how Planned Parenthood was able to partner with Danco Laboratories in order to manufacture and sell abortion pills. Very interesting. earlyoptionpill.com
/41 In summary: any hormonal drugs or devices are abortifacient. Trust the Lord! Pastor Deevers is working on a book that explains all of these drugs and the dangers they promote. Check out his website for more details rescuethose.com
/42 Final question I had for Pastor Deevers: Why focus so much on the Gospel and Scripture to make your case, knowing that the world doesn't care about God and his commandments? Because that's all we have, according to Pastor Deevers.
/43 We must understand our sin, we must repent, we must turn away from evil. Jesus is king over all things, Christians and non-Christians alike. All things are under the feet of the Son.
/44 Governing authorities are servants of God. (Romans 13). They must adhere to God's law. We should promote His righteousness as such. There is not a square inch in the universe that the Son of Man does not claim.
/45 That's the episode! Big thanks to @DustyDeevers , make sure to follow him. Check out Lewis and his substack lewisungit.substack.com . See you next time!

1/ Sorry, making a thread here, but I love your article and want to flesh this out more.
2/ Your point about how Bitcoin is great at horizontal integration, but there are vertical integration problems... I would argue that's the point. Bitcoin sucks at vertical because it's ideologically opposed to it. Vertical integration is centralization.
3/ This is your most compelling solution to the problem of transferring generational wealth on web3. But as you note, it has problems.
