"In summary ... XBB.1.5 is the most successful XBB lineage as of January, 2023, as it has acquired the S:S486P substitution, which enhances its binding affinity to ACE2 receptor w/o compromising its remarkable immune resistance..." thelancet.com/journals/lanin…
This is #XBB15 avoiding the antibodies of:
- previous bAB from vaccines & bivalent vaccines
- previous bAB from natural infections
- previous bAB from "hybrid immunity"
On a scale that's not been seen in previous mutations.
I'd like to just confirm, for conspiracy skeptics that we absolutely created this mutation. It wasn't a lab & it wasn't China. #XBB15 was homegrown in the USA by the abandonment of simple Public Health policies and NPIs like masks, and instead focusing on a vaccine solution!
Where are we with vaccines now?
Vaccines save lives and that's it.
We are back to square zero attempting to reach herd immunity! We are at ZERO HERD IMMUNITY!
The problem is not vaccines, the problems are with the human immune system vs SARS!
The public isn't being informed Omikron and this mutation #XBB15 reset all the pharmaceutical interventions we had;
-RAT testing.
-PCR testing,
-Antibody treatment,
-Bivalent vaccine antibodies.
We are right back to square zero on everything because we never informed the public to protect themselves using simple NPIs like "N95-grade PPE with eye protection".
Nations have restricted PCR testing but RAT & PCR testing were much less effective in detecting infection since Omikron (December 2021).
Omikron infects URT cells differently & sheds less viral protein in the nasal cavity compared to previous variants. This isn’t well understood; how much viral protein is in the nose is what causes RATs and PCR tests to produce a positive test result.
Reduction of confidence in PCR and RAT testing has existed for nearly a year and it's been increasingly difficult with XBB.1 and now XBB.1.5 to ascertain the best timeframe to conduct those tests because #XBB15 has a smaller timeframe for producing that mucus.
Omikron infection.
Less mucus.
False-negative test result. #XBB15 infection.
Less mucus for less time.
Greater false-negative test results.
We have known for decades that there is no herd immunity to human coronaviruses and never will be: SARS persistent infection damages your immune system to enable re-infections!
I would like to do an informal "language" poll if I may.
Does this tweet from yesterday;
- properly translate "arm or leg" as "limb" into British English?
- properly translate "positive-looking picture" into seething anger sarcasm?
I apologies for my poor English language skills in advance. I know the UK occasionally uses slang so I'm uncertain if the 133 views and 1 Like are due to improper translation errors from my translator.
Consider this outreach an attempt to seek out an improvement to our method of Public Health communication (aka Fearporn Directors, but also known as professional fearmongers).
There’s nothing fundamental wrong with some financial entity out there making record profits. The problem is 0.8% is their contribution towards the betterment of society, who for the most part pay 50% in taxes!
I don’t need to be an environmental activist to be cursing about the disparity of taxes paid by what is essentially a shell company for the Uber rich.
There’s really 3 dominant “cousin” mutations here, each mutation no longer competing for hosts. This steady roll will slowly increase hospitalization and death. For the record, we always hate to be proven to be right.
Hosts exposed to one variant for which they have antibodies will be infected with SARS by a mutation for which they don’t have antibodies.
Those antibodies will decline rapidly after 8-12 weeks but exposure to the other circulating mutations can still cause an infection. We only modelled these waves in Sims and it’s fascinating to see them come to life with Let’er R.I.P. policy.
The incurable message is being suppressed from the public for the public to make informed decisions. Every Tweet which is Unavailable are retweets of tweets by scientists, doctors and medical findings with one word

The initial #incurable post was broadly retweeted and receive more attention for any post that I have ever made.
