CRASH: Last night the Mexican Navy’s tall ship Cuauhtémoc collided with the Brooklyn Bridge, two crew members died and 19 others were injured. The 277-foot barque with was departing from Pier 17 on a goodwill tour when it suffered a mechanical failure, causing it to drift uncontrollably in reverse toward the bridge. The ship’s three masts struck the underside of the bridge.
CRASH: Another angle of the crash. The Cuauhtémoc, commissioned in 1982, serves as a training vessel for the Mexican Navy used for international goodwill missions. At the time of the accident, it was carrying 277 people and was scheduled to visit 22 ports in 15 countries over a 254-day voyage.
CRASH: The Training Ship Cuauhtémoc collided with the Brooklyn Bridge at 8:26 pm, when the tide was rising (~1.3 m).

CORRUPTION: US Attorney for the District of New Jersey Alina Habba confirmed Newark Mayor Ras Baraka stormed the ICE facility in Newark and refused to leave after repeated orders from DHS officers. Baraka was arrested and taken into custody. No one is above the law.

LAWFARE: After the security of Smartmatic's electronic voting machines was questioned, Democrat Billionaire Reid Hoffman secretly met with Smartmatic's CEO agreeing to pump $24 million into lawsuits to silence Fox and Newsmax and anyone else who questioned the company's tabulator's security. The company kept the meeting secret from the court and the defendants.Fox News and Newsmax reported concerns about the security of Smartmatic’s vote tabulators. A recently unsealed court filing reveals that Smartmatic CEO Antonio Mugica secretly met with Reid Hoffman to secure funding for lawsuits aimed at silencing the networks and others investigating electronic voting machine safety. Smartmatic concealed the meeting and funding from the court and defendants. Additionally, in August 2024, a federal grand jury indicted Smartmatic executives for allegedly engaging in a bribery and money laundering scheme.
FLASHBACK: President Carter once described Smartmatic voting machines in Venezuela as safe and secure. Five years later, Smartmatic acknowledged that their system, still in use today, had recorded 1 million extra votes. This same technology is also used in the United States.
FLASHBACK: Just last year the founder and president of Smartmatic and other executives were indicted for bribery and money laundering. Safe and Secure...In August 2024, a federal grand jury in the Southern District of Florida indicted three current and former Smartmatic executives, Roger Alejandro Piñate Martinez (co-founder and president), Jorge Miguel Vasquez, and Elie Moreno, for their alleged roles in a bribery and money laundering scheme tied to the 2016 Philippine elections.
