RS32046 -Relating to the Protection of Minors; Amending Title 48-these people really think they can mandate a filter on juvenile devices and internet networks to keep them from watching porn LOL. This failed before. Its never going to happen, and thats intrusive AF. #idpol #idleg

Sen. Foremans Militia RS repeals the list of those who may parade around in public with firearms. Says armed militia groups go back to the days of George Washington and his concept of having many small militia groups for defense still holds true today. #idpol #idleg

Says he has spoken with many sheriffs in his neck of the woods but of course he cant name any. He said he didn't have their permission, and their convos are outdated anyway, but law enforcement actually supports more citizens walking around armed. SURE THEY DO. #idpol #idleg

He said LE realizes militias are an asset and they are people they can count on for man power and support....
RS passed with the only No vote being from Senator Wintrow.

RS 30140 Rep. Cornilles-National Motto displayed in public schools.
IN GOD WE TRUST is the National Motto. This is the same bill Texas passed. This would be paid for by private donors. This bill has been passed in 13 RED states.

HB 92- Financial Literacy in schools for certain grades.
Rep. Petzke took this class as an elective in school, and was able to graduate with money in the bank, and without taking out student loans.
He wants this part of school curriculum. It will be combined with econ. #idleg

Fiscal cost is zero. Lots of non profits, orgs and companies who'd be willing to create coursework for free.

I like this. It'll pass committee. Gonna grab some coffee.

Right on time, Sen. Herndon has questions. He is asking about the scholarship budget, and the facilities budget.
He's now asking how much Idaho usually spends on semi conductor workforce training programs, and wants to know how that might impact the new Idaho Launch program.

Ms. Secrist said they are two different programs. Idaho Launch is a grant program for students.

Sen. Cook asking about the Childcare Infrastructure Grants, specifically expanding access and lowering co-pay. #idpol #idleg

Rep. Raybould now asking about childcare grants, and wonders whats next after funding is gone.
Ms. Secrist said during the pandemic, they lost 339 childcare providers which is 5500 seats for kids. She said lots more work needs to be done.

Senate is debating HB 21-bill which conforms the state to federal tax laws every year.

Senator Nichols District 10 is debating against it, because it adopts the gay marriage component which is against our state constitution, so she will be voting no, of course.

SB 1016 Sen. Herndons Public Facilities (Bathroom Bill) Said origin is the Civil Rights Act- prohibits employment discrimination. He said sex in that interpretation is bio sex. Bringing up Pres Obama adding 2 more classes in which people cant discriminate against. #idpol #idleg

Herndon said this is already an issue in Idaho. Is referring to his buddy that testified during his committee hearing. Did you know that guy is brand new to Idaho? Also, Scott Herndon is a contractor himself. Keep this in mind.

This is very plainly an anti-trans bill. He doesn't want to have to provide any bathroom facility that goes against his own personal beliefs, which means he wont have to hire anyone he doesn't want to, even if tho it doesn't really affect him at all. This is all just hateful.

Sen. Foreman is debating in support of the bill. He said its common sense and is the wish of most Idahoans. WRONG, Senator.
Sen. Lenney is rising in support of the bill, too. Says its a good bill because it solidifies where the state of Idaho stands on this issue. Gross. #idleg

Sen. Wintrow debating against the bill. Says its not a good bill for Idaho. She said its just one more attack against the trans community. We have antidiscrimination laws for a reason, and its so people can work and care for families. Most facilities on sites are single use.

I am so so sorry but this is passing Senate. Shame on every single Aye vote.
