Rare contemporary HD Painting of Dharamveer Chattrapati Shambhuji Maharaja 👑
Bijapur Style.
Most guess the child here is his son Hindupati Padshah Chattrapati Shahu Maharaja, but its likely his young brother Chattrapati Rajaram Maharaja considering his own youthful leanness.
His body here nowhere resembles his adult body's depiction and description, its clearly of his teenage years here, meaning the child with him in the photo is Chattrapati Rajaram Maharaja, making it his only 2nd painting to be found.
Chattrapati Shambhuji Maharaja's friend/retainer holding a mirror with his reflection on it. Maybe or may not be a Maratha.
Considerable difference in both versions.
Another friend/retainer of Chattrapati Sambhaji Maharaja holding the peacock feather whisker.
If this is in Raigad, we have a look at its fabulous Garden-City aesthetic.
The flowers, mountainous background, do lend credit to this view.
Thin Pillars.
May be wood.
Look closely and you can see the fountain in the exact center.
Carpet design.
Significant variance in colours though base remains same.
The second version of the same painting of Chattrapati Shambhaji Maharaja.

What you see in front of you, is a Samadhi to Maharaja Shahaji Bhonsale, Chattrapati Shivaji Maharaja, and Dharamveer Chattrapati Sambhaji Maharaja.
And built by Hindupati Padshah Chattrapati Shahu Maharaja himself!
Deliberately hidden from history despite its significance.
Unmaintained, and regularly vandalized by neighbouring sub-altern hordes.
In any ideal self-respecting country, this place, located in the most scenic zone possible, would be maintained with utmost care and beauty.
Information on these monuments is hidden, to make it look like Chattrapati Shivaji Maharaja and others were "forgotten" by "next generation" of Marathas after 1680-1707 27 Years War of Hindu Liberation.
Instead a majestic memorial, well-planned with gardening, was commissioned!
Many Lord-Tier (in European sensibility) Hindu Rulers used the title Raja.
Its use has been mocked by many neech quibblers.
Raja IS equated to the European Rex-King but note that it does NOT precisely mean that in Hindu Context.
Our Shastras provide context.
प्रजासु च विरक्तासु राज्यकामदुघासु वै ।
कृच्छ्रेणोपार्जितोऽपार्थो राजशब्दो भविष्यति ॥
Bereft of the attachment of the subjects (their presence as a key factor), the title Raja (thus in context, Delighter of Subjects) acquired with very great difficulty, shall become meaningless.
A King is called Rājā as he makes the people delighted.
This is the conventional meaning acquired (by the word) and if that convention gets spoilt & lost, his very kingdom shall perish.
Futuhat-E-Alamgiri gives the clearest account of Chattrapati Sambhaji Maharaja's final battle at Sangameshwar.
Muqarrab Khan and his sons (all were great generals) with their best troops surrounded the place.
Dharamveer emerged out like a lion.
400 Marathas & 250 Mughals died.
Note that most Maratha soldiers had been sent off to Raigad, to distract Muqarrab Khan. The trick didn't work as Mughals didn't pursue that contingent.
This record about slaying 400 Marathas is also exaggeration.
They likely mostly killed the Pujaris with Chattrapati instead.
Futuhat has the most realistic figures.
While Nushka-E-Dilkasha of Bhimsen Saxen avoids describing the battle, he tells very PRECISELY Chattrapati Sambhaji Maharaja was in Sangameshwar for performing Sadhana.
And Khafi Khan supports it by saying he performed bath in Banganga.
Cultured Life of Maratha King Janoji Raghuji Bhonsale 📜
Daily lifestyle of Senasahebsubah Maharaja Janojiraje Bhonsale of Nagpur is described as such:
"Sometimes, he engages his mind in the joy of examining the Ultimate Reality of Self through the pure principles of Vedanta...
...
Sometimes, he engages in debates and discussions with experts in various fields, including Nyaya, Vaisheshika, Mimamsa, and Shabdika, and he listens to the essence of the scriptures with a smile...
...
Sometimes, he composes beautiful poetry and prose in Sanskrit and Prakrit, and he creates wonderful works of art through his skillful mind...
Why do people get so defensive about Chattrapati Sambhaji Maharaja's "defection" to the Mughal camp when Chattrapati Shivaji Maharaja was away?
It is very clearly explained in his officially commissioned Sanskrit biography written by Kavi Paramanand.
Problem is nobody reads it.
In simplest terms:
1. As a child, Chattrapati Sambhaji Shivaji Bhonsale had been propped up by Chattrapati Shivaji Maharaja as his scapegoat agent in Mughal court to influence their politics.
2. The 2 Mughal statesmen Prince Sambhajiraje targetted were Muazzam and Diler Khan.
3. This plan of Chattrapati Shivaji Maharaja, to eventually place Muazzam on Mughal throne and take him as excuse to march against Delhi, failed due to Muazzam breaking in pressure to his father.
4. However the bond of Prince Sambhajiraje with both Diler Khan & Muazzam remained.
1. A case of no sources & false testimonies. Its never referred to again for being completely wrong. 2. Its merely meant to justify ritual status. 3. A false testimony to defeat EICo. 4. A false testimony based on another false one.
Marathas obsessively attempted to protect their property hold even at cost of Varna claims. Its clear from this case:
