1 in 4 people in the U.S. are covered by Medicaid. That includes children, older adults, people with disabilities, pregnant women, and so many more. Stripping Medicaid could remove much-needed health care access for millions of people.

Medicaid keeps families together – keeping disabled children with their parents, older adults with their families, and millions of disabled people in their homes and communities. Most aging and disability care is paid for by Medicaid.

Through Medicaid expansion, Medicaid also provides health insurance to many family caregivers and direct care workers who qualify because of low wages. Cutting this off would be catastrophic.

Like @SenSchumer said, Medicaid is important to both low-income families and middle class families, and “cutting Medicaid would put a huge economic burden on them as they struggle and work to stay in the middle class.”

We agree with @SenSchumer. We can’t cut Medicaid. These are not abstract issues. They would cause immense pain to thousands of people in the U.S. We must #SaveMedicaid and protect health care coverage because #CareCantWait.
