In the tradition of P. Shtompka, the events of 2013-2014 were not a coup d'état, because by definition a coup is a conspiracy of a minority, like the Palace coup. It was not a riot or a rebellion, because the result had nothing to do with violently conducted reforms. 5/7

This was not a putsch, as certain demands were articulated, and the overthrow of the regime did not take place under the leadership of the Armed Forces. This was not a civil war, where the emphasis of the conflict is on religious or ethnic cleavage. 6/7

Therefore, the events of 2013-2014 should be classified as the revolution, because there were qualitative changes in the political, social, and cultural contexts. 7/7
