Driver's License
Driver's license.
Get both two-wheeler and four-wheeler at LL at once. A gap of a month is needed for a driver's license at least after LL. LL is valid for six months, so DL before that anytime. Driving classes mandatory for traffic sense.#happyAdulting
2.
Pan Card
Apply online on the NSDL site and send the documents to NSDL, Pune. Alternatively, send documents to Integrated enterprises in your city from the list on the NSDL website. If you already have a PAN card it needs to be updated to major status. onlineservices.nsdl.com/paam/endUserRe…
3.
Aadhar
Mother of all documents, a lot of this can work with this+ 10th marks card. 10th exams need it so likely that it's available. If you didn't get it revalidated (new photo, new card, same aadhar number) after the child turns 15 please do so. No specific process at 18.
4.
Passport
The validity of the passport for an adult is 10 years So if the passport has expired/expiry <3 yrs before 18, best to renew it after 18 unless the child needs to travel abroad in between This to avoid the whole process twice in short intervals. 5. #happyAdulting
Bank Accounts
Minor accounts (savings/deposits) in the child's name would need to be converted to major accounts by submitting a request letter and proof of age + aadhar + photos (varies from bank to bank). If you have the PAN by then best to get it updated. 6. #happyAdulting

Based on the recommendation from @amuldotexe that a lot of folks like him, don't prefer to read long articles, but read threads, I tried to convert the article "101 Darshini's " to a Twitter thread. Let's see how this goes
Darshini 101
“ Kaapi Aayta saar ? Thindi* ? Aaytu ivagthane, nimdu ?”
The word “Darshini” became popular sometime in the early 90’s when Upahara Darshini (UD) started on DVG road. Till then most of these “stand and eat” places went by standard names 1.
All these places had the same “style” as the Darshini of today with a limited menu, stand and eat. Thanks to UD’s popularity, every new eatery that opened all over the city started calling itself a “Darshini” irrespective of the quality of food.
