⚠️ Another Clinically Vulnerable Family in court.

This family had 2 children with a rare genetic condition which limits their ability to respond to infections.

They had RETURNED to school for a year when their Local Authority issued a summons.

The prosecutions related to absences from a time *before* these highly vulnerable children were vaccinated.

The parents went to court, initially before Christmas without representation due to incredibly short notice (postal strikes were blamed).

They pleaded "NOT GUILTY".

However, they were (like our previous family) also taken to a side room and advised to plead guilty by the prosecution lawyer. They were also told that they didn't need legal representation as nobody else usually does in these cases.

After weeks of incredible stress and gathering evidence they contacted their local MP, who was appalled. Their MP stepped in and advocated for the family in a letter. Their solicitor was convinced they shouldn't be prosecuted.

Thankfully, the day before their hearing, they were contacted.

Their case was 'dismissed'.

This family was also denied their 'win' in court (and found innocent) but they are, of course, hugely relieved.
