Let's take a look at who these experts are /1

Members of the Advisory Group were
4 x LGBT+ groups funded by the Scottish Government
2 x London based LGBT+ groups

@ScotHumanRight supported the #GRR Bill removal of gender dysphoria diagnosis & accepted UN Independent Expert on Sexual Orientation & Gender Identity claim that “All persons have some form of gender identity which may or may not correspond with the sex assigned at birth”

3 x people with ‘lived experience’ – this included two people described as ‘conversion therapy survivors’ (with no further information as to whether this related to sexuality or gender identity ‘conversion’ practices) and one of whom is a prominent Green Party councillor.

Advisory Group Terms of Reference include advising how mental health services & other professional services including education for children & young people should be helped to provide appropriate services to those seeking help & advice for sexual orientation/& gender identity

The group had NO professional input from:
Children & young people professionals
Social workers
Education
CAMHS
Child development experts
The health representative on the advisory group was a clinical psychologist who was described as a specialist in gender dysphoria /6

There also appears to have been NO input to the advisory group from detransitioners and there is no evidence from the minutes of the group that any evidence about or from detransitioners was considered. /7

This report has been produced by a group who believe the definition of conversion practices ‘refers to any treatment, practice or effort that aims to change, suppress &/or eliminate a person’s sexual orientation, gender identity &/or gender expression'

Yet there is NO definition provided of ‘gender identity’ or gender expression'

Therefore there has been no opposing or alternative views considered & importantly no reference to any evidence based practice or those who have transitioned only to change their mind

This Bill is being promoted at a time when there is considerable evidence coming to light from the @thecassreview and @hannahsbee book 'Time to Think' The Inside Story of the Collapse of the Tavistock’s Gender Identity Service

Why were no experts on child development included in the Advisory Group?
Why is there no definition of gender identity/gender expression?
Why has there been no critical analysis?
Why have no detransitioners been involved?
