Watching the Wilmot council March 6/2023 meeting live at 7pm tonight discussing the Hallman Quarry Pit and the city of Wilmot pulling out of the OMB.
First speaker was solicitor Rodney Northey who spoke on behalf of lawyers for Citizens for Safe Ground Water Inc. He spoke of the 55 houses that will be impacted by the existing plans for the quarry pit and outlined the environmental damages and health concerns of this project.
Northey stated the 2020 Provincial Policy Statement places focus on avoidance of risks but the decisions made were based on 41905 of the Environmental Protection Act which has absolutely no regard for fine particulate matter issues.
Section 41905 doesn't address fine particulate matter unless it is radioactive. The PPS avoidance of adverse impacts is applicable because the EPA policy does not address this risk at all but it is well proven that fine particulates can lead to health issues and mortality.
Solicitor Northey also notes there is a provision for costs in #Bill23 but it is not enacted in force.
Samantha Lernout of Save our Water Inc. states the request to rezone was denied. It was not a divisive issue. The support across the township was consistent.
Samantha Lernout said, "You broke your promise to be transparent and responsible to the people." She later stated, "We as citizens reject your settlement offer."
Wilmot Township's Mayor said, "I did stand up before the community and promise to have honest and frank connversations."
The mayor spoke how the plans as given complied with the Provincial Policy statement, the Aggregate Resources Act and Township Official Plan. She also mentioned only 3% chance of success rate at Ontario Land tribunals.
She stated groups can still participate at the Ontario Land Tribunal. She also advised people bring their concerns to Premier Doug Ford or MPP Graydon Smith. (Minister of Natural Resources and Forestry.)

The US Ambassador Peter Hoekstra has behaved so outrageously in Canada that it sparked an official Canadian government petition which states:
We, the undersigned, Residents of Canada, call upon the House of Commons to formally review the conduct of U.S. Ambassador Pete Hoekstra. Should the review find that Ambassador Hoekstra’s actions are inconsistent with diplomatic protocol or detrimental to Canada’s interests, the Government of Canada take appropriate diplomatic measures, including the possible request for his recall. Parliament is on Abenaki Territory and they use it as an excuse to avoid Ontario’s Labour Laws and Work Place Health and Safety Laws which is wrong to do. They are all on contiguous Acadian land. The Queen acknowledged that when she apologised for the illegal deportation. It was a Nation to Nation agreement rooted to the Vatican Concordat of 1610.
Acadia has been a Nation for over 400 years and it goes coast to coast. It spans a massive area. It is time for truth and reconciliation. That requires the lawful truth.
Part 2. The affidavit of Warren Perrin vs the Queen here. There is no shortage of evidence. Visit this website for historical facts on the issue: 1755.ca
Part 3 the Queens apology for the illegal deportation was recognized by a Nation to Nation Royal Proclamation. The deportation went from Acadia to Standing Rock with Jeffrey Amherst and south bound in areas of the US. .acadianmuseum.com/the-queens-pro…
Back in 2018 Macleans Magazine published that Canadian cabinet ministers, women working in the Senate, staffers and volunteers past and present all agree that sexual harassment and violence in governance has gone unchecked. They recounted incidents that span inappropriate comments, like requesting that women staffers wear high heels, to sexual assault and violence. macleans.ca/politics/ottaw…
MPs have personal experience with harassment, the problem extends to the elected and at least 3,000 staffers employed by the House of Commons and Senate who work in hierarchies of their own. In December 2017, the Canadian Press conducted a poll of female MPs, showing 58 per cent of respondents said they’d been the target of sexual harassment or assault at least once while in office. However, only 38 MPs had responded.
“It was the same in the military,” says Liberal MP Karen McCrimmon. macleans.ca/politics/ottaw…
Canadian government staffers told VICE News they were subjected to sexism, physical, verbal and psychological harassment and sexual violence. One went to HR and got fired. There was no anti-harassment policy on Parliament Hill that covered her. The VICE News investigation has found that weak anti-harassment policies alongside a baked-in hyperpartisan and male-dominated culture are failing women. vice.com/en/article/par…
Today I opened a box of my FOI reports, tribunal notes, SEC case info and correspondences with Ministers on involving oil pipelines, oil spills responses, concerns of Russian corruption collusion and I pulled out some interesting things I forgot I had. @StuartSyvret @jebrittan2 @andrewlownie @JoannaColes @MichaelWolffNYC
A start up mask making company who won Pitch@Palace met a director from the Bank of Montreal who connected him to a guy in India. That was months before the Covid outbreak. The bank never lost a dividend in 190 years and BMO Financial Group’s history with China dates back to 1818—just months after the bank’s founding in Canada. Covid outbreak began in Wuhan China. Handy timing for mask company.
Prince Andrew, Glenn Dubin, Alan Dershowitz, Stephen Kauffmann were named by Virginia as men who raped her. Virginia’s family said there were 1200 victims including men, women, girls and boys.
The family of Virginia are demanding the re-hearing of the case.
Courtney Wild said the Feds seemed to negotiate with Epstein on what charges would apply and if the sentencing was OK with him. 40 kids abused believed the law was supposed to work. The Crime Victims Rights Act does not matter. If the law doesn’t have consequences it doesn’t matter. Victims need access to funding to support victims to access lawyers.
