What happened to the SI Banks?

For most of last week, the following banks have been in the news in the United States: Silvergate Bank, Silicon Valley Bank (SVB) and Signature Bank.

Silvergate Bank is in the process of being liquidated or wound up.
Why? The company had seen a huge outflow of deposits. Most of those deposits came from crypto. It was a regular bank that doubled down on the crypto space and so got a massive amount in deposits.

CBN Obtains Court Order to Freeze Fintechs' Bank Accounts
Yesterday, news broke out that a Nigerian Federal High Court had given permission to CBN to freeze the Nigerian bank accounts of Risevest, Bamboo, Chaka and Trove for 6 months.
Why did the CBN request this?

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) requested to freeze these accounts because it is investigating them for illegal foreign exchange transactions, and needed time to complete the investigations.
