@Mr_Electrico @bluegal @CNN @KeithOlbermann why was VA Gov allowed to get away w/defending his VA state school board appointee who went down for rallying w/Nick Fuentes’ Groypers, and smearing Dems in VA senate for “unfairly smearing” her? No follow up question? Are you SERIOUS?
@CNN another follow up question FAIL. #GlennYoungkin was asked by a tearful teacher why her pay was so low. He announced he’d already given her 2 piddly raises, then pivoted into superfluous fluff. @jaketapper why didn’t you ask HER if the raises were enough for her to get by?
@jaketapper did you bother to study VA politics before you did this townhall w/Youngkin? We submitted hundreds of special ed questions to be asked. Not 1 asked. Then you brought up RW absurd national merit scandal that your own colleague exposed as a hoax cnn.com/videos/us/2023…
@CNN is clearly promoting VA Gov Youngkin as the reasonable GOP alternative to Trump & DeSantis for 2024, not getting he differs from them on policy not 1 iota. Youngkin is a more polite fascist than the others, and he’s effective at looking moderate when he’s anything but.
@CNN @jaketapper your townhall w/Va Gov Youngkin was a sick joke. You let that fascist pivot off every question & wander into his faux talking points. Not 1 follow-up question, not 1. Nice free 1 hour campaign ad you provided to that air-stuffed fascist polar fleece vest.
Why not ask him how he differs from trump and DeSantis on policy since we all know Youngkin is running for POTUS? I guess @CNN decided y’all prefer Youngkin’s polite fascism over fascism delivered not as tenderly. Portraying Youngkin as a moderate is FAKE NEWS. #SHAMEonCNN
My fury over the 1 hour free campaign ad @CNN provided for GOP POTUS hopeful VA Gov @GlennYoungkin packed w/lies & utter bullshit knows no bounds. Do we think CNN would provide a 1 hour fake infomercial for any Dem running for POTUS? This is CNN pretending to cater to #bothsides
I have no objection to @CNN doing a townhall w/candidates on either side. My objection to Youngkin townhall was it was softball 🥎 w/a Nerf ball. The man lied, didn’t answer questions & @jaketapper couldn’t be bothered to ask follow up questions. It was a free ad, NOT a townhall

CNN follow-up question fail of the week. @jaketapper’s townhall w/@GlennYoungkin where Gov pivoted off topic to defend his VDOE nominee who went down for rallying w/Nick Fuentes’ Groypers. Why didn’t he ask Gov if he approves of his state school board nominee hanging w/Groypers?
The problem is, many of the parents this VA administration listens to have direct contact and links to Nick Fuentes’ Groypers, whereby listening to them only seems to be promoting Nick Fuentes’ agenda in Virginia schools. @JakeTapper ask @glennyoungkin to denounce Nick Fuentes

When talking about healthcare, please do NOT use the term, “pre-existing conditions,” a euphemism concocted by health insurance industry to sanitize that they were denying health coverage to disabled and sick people. “People w/pre-existing conditions”=sick & disabled people
Use the actual words, not terms used to sanitize the brutality of denying healthcare, treatment, and medication to sick and disabled people. “The master’s tools cannot dismantle the master’s house.” ~Audre Lorde, “pre-existing condition” was a rhetorical tool of ableists.
I know it seems wonky, but it reminds me of referring to disabled people as “people w/special needs.” Our needs aren’t special; disability accommodations are a human right, NOT a special favor. Healthcare for disabled people is NOT a special need. Healthcare is a universal need.

2. The dupes who’ve bought into the con happy to disseminate ableist lies who will tell you dismantling access to education for disabled students is not what they mean by anti-equity. They’re also ableist trash, because they don’t care enough about the issue to inform themselves.

And the final reason I know Va Gov @GlennYoungkin is ableist? He didn’t utter a peep about disabled students or special ed in over an hour of a town hall about schools. His answer to disability was more cops, to criminalize our kids and blame gun violence on neurodivergents.
He made time to defend Suparna Dutta, his absurdly unqualified appointee to VDOE, the main reason most objected to her, who also was photographed rallying w/Nick Fuentes’ Groypers. It’s time for @jaketapper to ask @GlennYoungkin if he condemns Nick Fuentes and Groypers? ImageImageImageImage

The ableism of the right wing listen to the parents movement simply can’t be understated. When asked in CNN town hall last night about 6 year olds brandishing killing machines, @GlennYoungkin pivoted away from guns, straight to mental health. His mental health plan is a farce.
It’s a boondoggle for abusive mental health facilities, big money campaign donors, and more cops, because you know, all we need are more cops to work with disabled people. People w/mental health diagnoses are more likely to be victims of violence than perps of it. #itstheguns
Two children in Virginia brought their parents’ guns to school to shoot their teachers and this ableist POS is blaming that on mental health issues. That is what ableism looks like. They also fight vehemently against disability accommodations in schools, or equity and inclusion.
