We all want a safer Malaysia.

Imagine a situation where some of us get killed in our beds. Brutally murdered? Or worse, maybe even raped.

But these cases go unknown because of the threats, blackmails and/or even bribes given to families and maybe even friends of the victims to shut up.

And these people just have to suffer on their own in silence. Because no one knows them.

They are just a few in a sea of millions of people in Malaysia.

Unknown.

And afraid of speaking out.

For fear, that they too or they loved ones will be killed.

A norm that goes unnoticed, in Malaysia.

And few talk about it.

Because no one knows what to do.

Nor do they have the means to do anything.

Maybe because everyone is powerless to do much.

And everyone fears of what will happen if they do.

We can't just live in fear.

Of not speaking out.

One of my propositions is for Islamic religious teachings and interpretation to be more transparent.

Can we at least know the people who are doing the interpretations?

What formal qualifications do these people have for doing these interpretations?

These people may be PAS people but PAS isn't Islam and Islam isn't PAS.

So where do they get the Islamic knowledge that qualifies as the concluded interpretation for the laws that they pass?

This results in them being able to simply pass any laws that they want.

Where is the regulation in these matters?

I feel that they should give detailed reasons and evidence based on the excerpts of the Quran for passing such interpretations to become country laws.
