⚠️ Clinically Vulnerable people are struggling.

We are * 3️⃣ YEARS * into a pandemic (ask the @WHO) and our needs have not been addressed.

Protections were withdrawn one by one and the removal of these measures has unfairly disadvantaged us.

1/

We are STILL HOME.
We are living part lives.
Our freedoms have been lost.

If you are not in a vulnerable group this information will likely have slipped you by. You will not have noticed us struggling because we are no longer in your view.

2/

We move around like ninjas.
We avoid crowded places.
We probably don't meet with you any more.

This is not through choice. This has been thrust upon us, by the same government that joked they would

"Let the bodies pile high in their hundreds of thousands.".

3/

Rhetoric from the early pandemic was focused on keeping a functional NHS so it wouldn't disintegrate. It was not focused on protecting people.

Yet now we know it wasn't about protecting the NHS at all. You only need to pay attention to the current news to be sure of that.

So the pandemic quietly rumbles on taking people in its wake.

We don't hear about them now, of course, at least not in the media. Scientists from @IndependentSage try to raise awareness but when the Covid infection survey is dismantled it will be harder for them to inform us.

The removal of these data is the removal of the last final line of defence against new variants. We will be flying blind. It also breaks a promise made last year.

This disproportionately affects those most at risk. Our needs have not been considered.

We silently have:

💙 Lost jobs
💜 Lost education
💗 Lost access safe healthcare
💙 Faced discrimination
💜 Not been offered 'reasonable adjustments'
💗 Lost liberty and security
💔 * Lost lives *

Many find it is affecting their mental health.

Our voice is small. We need advocates. A @GaryLineker or @MarcusRashford.

For 3 years we have tried to raise our voices.

For 3 years our human rights have been diminished.

Will you stand with us? Will you speak for the #VoicelessVulnerable?
