So 1st let's talk about the lounge situation at @BLRAirport
Terminal 1 at BLR has 2 lounges
BLR lounge which is accessible by almost all credit cards and many debit cards and is crowded with people (seen in the image)and the other premium 080 lounge accessible by selected cards
080 can be accessed by amex cards or cards with a visa lounge program ( in axis only magnus and reserve works) , a few cards that can be used are ( most SBI cards, AU cards, IDFC cards except classic, indusind visa cards ,etc) you can also access by j class or by vistara gold
Sitting
The lounge offers one of the best sitting arrangements I have ever seen they had a variety of sofas, chairs and even pod-like seating ( which is very comfortable) and even lounge chairs in the mini theatre ( about which i will talk later)
Food
I have to say 080 has one of the best lounge food i ever had, they had a few Live stations(i just loved the pasta),a drinks section, a desert section and a buffet section
They also had a bar( this is chargeable) but the food was amazing
(The food gets even better after 4 pm)
Library
Yes they had a mini library in the lounge where one could read the books and even access their old books for other books(they are also mostly old books)
I loved this concept
( Every week a new special book is added which you can exchange too)
WI-FI just had average speed
But one can pay extra and upgrade to a faster WI-FI
Mini movie
The lounge had a mini movie theatre which had comfortable seating and a huge TV, you can also control the TV( but mostly cricket matches are playing on the screen) ( the Screen also supports OTT apps but again mostly Cricket matches are playing on the screen)
Working booths/pods
A feature i loved was small noise cancellation pods( you can't hear outside noise and no one can hear your voice) so a perfect place to work or just call your loved ones
Note- there is also a separate luxury fine done section that costs a whooping 3000 ( + swapping the card) but offers a separate dining area and unlimited fine dining ( with a crazy variety of luxury dishes)
Conclusion it's indeed a great lounge ( the best lounge in india) and if you have a layover at @BLRAirport or have some time before your flight leaves definitely head to the lounge
Thanks for reading ( corrections and suggestions are welcome)
A correction by @satishckp
A few months ago IDFC credit cards stopped giving you access to 080( now it gives you access to blr)
Another access method
Thanks to @rewardingspends for reminding me
You can swipe a card that gives you access to the blr lounge and play 800 inr( approx) to upgrade to this lounge
Although this is not told by the staff to passengers ( saw 2-3 people in front of me)
Note that i
This is domestic t1 lounge

If you are in Mysore then let me tell you about an amazing place you must visit if you like history, heritage or want to know about Tipu sultan
The last one may have given it away, if you still haven't guessed the place is Srirangapatna:- the capital of Mysore under Tipu sultan
let's talk about how this place is related to Tipu sultan
In 1961 hyder Ali became the nawab of Mysore and after him Tipu sultan his son was the ruler in 1782 during his reign Srirangapatna was his capital this place is important as this is where Tipu sultan died in 1799
The ruins you can see in the images was once Lal Mahal palace what once used to be the home of Tipu sultan before his death( palace was destroyed in 1807-1809)
This was once a magnificent and beautiful palace but now all what remains is just ruins of the palace

Mysore palace is indeed not overrated as India's 2nd most visited site ( after taj Mahal)
fact- the original wooden palace was destroyed by fire in 1896 but was rebuilt in 1913 for 41.47 lakh( at that time)
This palace is home to paintings by notable people like Raja ravi verma
As soon as you enter the place you enter the doll pavallion and see some beautiful dolls, idols and statues along with the golden howdah
As you move forward you will approach a corridor ( this corridor is full of paintings by Raja ravi verma and many other people about Mysore)
As you move on you enter the magnificent marriage pavilion this is where royal weddings took place and is one of the most beautiful things i have ever seen( and believe me i am someone who has been to 22+ UNESCO sites)
This place is amazing due to it's design and chandeliers for
