There were 4strategy groups with diff initial regimens; noninferiority was assessed in the 2 strategy groups with complete enrollment, which had initial regimens of high-dose RIF–linezolid & bedaquiline–linezolid (each with INH, PZA,& ETH).

-The primary outcome was a composite of death, ongoing treatment, or active disease at week 96.

A strategy involving initial Tx with an 8-wk bedaquiline–linezolid regimen was noninferior to std Tx for TB w.r.t clinical outcomes.
The strategy was assd with a shorter total duration of Tx & with no evident safety concerns.

Persons were eligible for inclusion in the trial if they were 18 to 65 yrs of age, had symp of TB or evidence of TB on a chest radiograph, and had a nucleic acid amplification test (Xpert MTB/RIF test, Cepheid) that was positive for TB without rifampin resistance.
