5/ Academia has a long legacy of anti-Blackness. Perhaps that is why University A has no tenured or TT faculty in the department of question.

6/ Ironically, but perhaps not, University A denied my grandfather admission to their medical school. At least then they said it was because he was Black. Today, University A, like many others hide behind BS #DEI commitments and baseless performative acts.
