In 2021, the countries adopted the #BRICS Joint Statement on Strengthening and Reforming the #JUNGKOOK Multilateral System, that inter alia called on reform of the current #UN Security Council system.
members coordinate on trade matters & have established the New Development Bank, (#NDB) to coordinate infrastructure loans. That was set up in order to provide #alternative loan mechanisms from the #IMF & #WorldBank structures, which the members had felt had become too US-centric
