So. Open and frequent threats of punching (as we've seen now carried out in Auckland against elderly woman), boot-stomping, smashing women's teeth in for talking, multiple threats of rape and sexual assault
and constant abusive sexual references, multiple examples of "Kill terfs" slogans, threats of decapitation, now threats of acid attacks. This is #terrorism in the form of serious #VAWG and threatening femicide.
It is extremely notable that most of this is what violent misogynist and male supremacists have always done to women who speak out or in other ways "don't know their place".
And no, I don't care if some simpering women suck up to male supremacists who want to subjugate them, they do not fucking speak for me or consent for me. Still doesn't make me a "fascist" or anything like it. These masked activists are the fascists.
This violence, which is clearly targeted primarily at women and at dismantling women's rights, is being continually enabled by politicians, organisations and media outlets in the UK as well as, as we've seen, in many countries elsewhere, and it's one of the reasons
it has now escalated to the frightening levels we are seeing, still, it seems, with the blessing of some politicians. It has been allowed to, even encouraged to. This level of hatred is not "equality" and it's not "human rights". It's violent anti woman authoritarianism
and it's terrorism. As a reminder, the women they call "TERFS" are of ALL political persuasions, huge numbers from the left and liberal left (as the RF would tell you, if you knew anything about it), and a TERF is literally ANY woman who wants to retain single sex spaces,
stands up for her current legal rights, thinks there should be a discussion about it, knows biology is real and matters in her life. Unlike her accusers, she doesn't believe in their regressively sexist genderwoo or rank lesbophobia of the pomo gender fundamentalist religion,
understands how facts and legislation work and believes in fundamental human rights for all including the fundamental rights of freedom of belief, freedom of expression, freedom of association, which include us ALL.
They use the word "TERF" to demonise and dehumanise, create an "other" to dementedly hate and to excuse violent abuse. The women they are threatening are not "fascists", many have long histories of social activism.
WHY isn't this violence (and there have been years of it, although they're really escalating now) being stopped? Because it's being enabled.
Genuine civil rights movements don't prevent people who were historically subjugated from talking about their own rights, threaten them with death, rape, stomping and throwing acid at them. Wake the fuck up.
