LNP’s Julian Leeser has attacked the PM at #NPC with the same irrelevant demands for details, looking as though they clearly haven’t learned lessons after #Aston
Says PM Albanese is denying Australians details on The Voice.
They are doubling down & going down with the ship
He’s also attached Albo for not “legislating” the voice and doing it via a referendum, implying they area lockstead heading for a No stance.
*attacked.
Leeser also spent a long time saying all the things he and his party have done for Indigenous people, trying to make out as though they are the real movers on Indigenous issues & that Labor is making it all about them.
Another negative, nasty & toxic Liberal speech.
He’s now saying that Labor has abandoned the Indigenous Regions* and that the Voice does not reflect them.
Further big step towards saying he is a clear No.
Just say it you weak, pathetic little man.
And of course his concerns of ‘High court challenges’
Leeser continues the same LNP Voice bashing rhetoric that saw them trounced in #Aston
Demanding details, sighting concerns without evidence & claiming we should Not Enshrine the Voice.
He’s done everything but actually say No.
Leeser says they will not change course on the Voice (not stop being obstructionists) and that the Aston result has nothing to do with that and its because the Aston voters were tired from having to vote again (so for some reason being tired means u vote Labor)
Leeser does not deny that MPs will not be allowed to vote with their conscious, but insists they will come to an affirmed position this Wednesday.
Keeps falling back on attacking the govt, even the RWG.
“The constitution doesn’t belong to the working group!”
“It belongs to all Australians”
Who said otherwise? He’s trying to diminish the value of the RWG.
Leeser says he has “respect” for Ken Wyatt, but denies his party is being perceived as racist (as recently said by Wyatt).
Leeser also expressing concerns that there will be an “obligation” on government to consult with the voice. How scary that must be for the LNP 🙄
Leeser: “We’ve been genuine from day one”
(Audible moan heard from the audience)
Leeser says he can’t say why they decided to all of a sudden make a decision to, make a decision on Wednesday.
But every answer falls back to an attack on Labor.
Josh Butler asks him (twice) if he prefers the referendum fail, Both times Leeser doesn’t answer and attacks Labor
Leeser couldn’t even say “I want it to succeed”
He’s attacking, he’s angry, he’s waffling and not answering journo questions. This is the LNP of today. It really is. They are what they are, let’s face it.
I missed the last little bit but he’s concluded.
So this Wednesday party room meeting it seems they will come out affirmed as standing for No to the Voice & likely that no concisions vote either.
Which will not shock anyone I guess.

Peter Dutton before the Aston by election
‘Result will be a verdict on the leaders, no question about that!’
Peter Dutton after the Aston by election
‘Labor’s fault! I’m not budging! Too bad so sad mwahaha’
If no other Liberal puts their hand up, the party cannot be revived.⚰️
Happy Monday all. A lot happening today including Julian Leeser at the NPC, who would also have thought he would go into this on a high after an Aston win, but instead will face scrutiny on this in addition to scrutiny regarding his obstructionist attitude on the Voice.
Archer has spoken and said the party needs to go back to the Centre, (Turnbull too) but she knows it can’t happen under Dutton so I imagine she is waiting for a better leader.
Dutton says that “Alan Tudge held a personal vote that obviously fell away”
But assured Liberal supporters that his party will be an
“Election winning machine” by 2025.
🤪
The Guardian is reporting on “non-stop rumours” that Scott Morrison will be the next disgraced Liberal to call time, meaning another by-election in #Cook could be on the cards.
Happy for Dutton to hang on as leader at least until that one’s over 😂
#RobodebtRC Former DHS Secretary Renee Leon who was sacked under sweeping departmental changes by former PM Morrison while keeping Kathryn Campbell onboard, says she was sacked because she believed in
“Frank and Fearless Advice”
She’s thrown Campbell under the bus, but now is on the defensive.
Greggery asks about what she knew about legal issues with Robodebt in her time as DHS Secretary.
She says it never crossed her mind that the scheme could be illegal.🤨
Now thrown Musolino under the bus, saying once she finally became aware of legal complaints, she referred this to her.
They didn’t go any further for now, but if she’s leading to eventually say she was assured its legal & accepted it, without checking, & as Secretary…right.
#RobodebtRC Tudge’s former COS Andrew Asten insists that even though hearings commenced months ago, he had absolutely no idea he could ask for records from the Commonwealth, nor that he could be represented by a lawyer.
Hmmmmm…🤔😒
And this guy is now a Partner at the Boston Consulting Group.
Seriously, how could he not know that. If he’s not lying which I suspect he is, then he is an absolutely dipshit, no?
Or perhaps both. FMD these arseholes. 🤬
And being a Partner, he obviously is well aware of legal stuff.
Might I suggest he didn’t obtain legal representation to be able to more easily justify why he didn’t know you could ask records from the commonwealth?
JG: Who do you recall attending?
AA: Mark Wood & myself
JG: Anybody else?
AA: I don’t recall any1 else
JG: You have a recollection of you 2 in a room, but nobody else in the room?
AA: There were people from PwC there also
JG: Right🙄
Possibly one of the most embarrassing displays we’ve seen at the RRC so far. 😳
Now getting on with my evening & dinner. Will be on again later.
By the way this shmuck is now a Partner at the Boston Consulting Group (BCG).
Remember the previous ‘Partner’ that appeared from PwC?
It’s supposed to be a pretty senior position.
I wonder if his new firm has concerns about their Partner, or if it’s business as usual at BCG.
