📢Indian Prime Minister marked the 50th anniversary of Project Tiger by putting out a 5th cycle of India’s Tiger Census.

➡️Based on the survey, the tiger🐅 population in India has grown from 1,411 in 1972 to 3,167 in 2022.

🔴As per survey 👇

✅️India is now home to 75% of the global tiger population and also the “largest tiger range country in the world”.

✅️Survey has shown 6.7% in the increase in the population in past 4 year

❇️Top 5 states with Tiger population
Madhay Pradesh > Karnataka > Uttarakhand >Maharashtra >Tamil Nadu

➡️Once home to most tigers the Western Ghats with 12 reserves spread across six states has seen a sharp decline in the number of big cats from 981 in 2018 to 824 🤐
