Consider Truss' recent critique of 'redistributionism' at USA Heritage, that’s the egalitarian model of economics where wage share is fairly balanced with profit share, from the post WWII social contract that lasted for 30-40 years proving public spending is good for society.

To sum up Buchanan and Koch came up with the kind of strategy now in play in the UK precisely because they knew that the majority, if fully informed, would never support what they seek.
