Lots of cold calling posts lately.
I am not a 100 calls/day caller. It's ok. If I make 5 calls/day average then jump to 30, big upside.

My thing? I count connections, not calls: meeting scheduled. 2nd call, market update/valuation, shared joke. However, I define it.

Scripts are good for cold calling. Better? Energy.
A monotone reading of a script doesn't engage.
Hesitancy doesn't engage, nor does steam rolling.
Use the old tricks to increase connection. 1.Stand up, jump around before a la Tony Robbins.
2. Smile while talking.

Now you've jumped around to pump your pre-calls energy, you are smiling on the phone. And NO One is taking your calls.
It's OKAY! A great note on this from @BobKnakal-If someone talks to you for 20 min, they're probably talking to everyone. Better to connect on 3rd-10th call

Took @BobKnakal 2.5 yrs of calls, letters, reports to SPEAK to one of his best clients.
@Bethazor1 swears by a 5 call minimum. Another friend of mine, won't take a sales call until after they've called 3x. She's listening for consistency & attitude. I love the 4th call bc...

On a 4th unanswered call, all my nerves are gone-no need for perfection. I report new info tidbits each time (refining the script) -always a new piece of info but Sometimes I throw in a Dad joke.
"I like Tuesday bc it's the farthest I can be from next Monday" 😉 #CRE #coldcall

I fire back-But aren't you just curious? You don't need to sell your building to have the answer. It's an #icebreaker

I didn't ask @dotene to weigh in. I at least want you to see this thread Madame and @allencbuchanan bc he was the one who made me realize that going for connections over call volume is not only okay but something to strive for! #CRE
