How did I end up involved in @Principles_1st? I noticed young attorney’s tweets in 2019 that resonated w/me. @HeathMayo had courage & foresight to speak up for principles instead of party personalities. I resigned from #SCGOP & decided to put my efforts in w/#PrinciplesFirst. 1/
If you don’t follow @HeathMayo yet, you should. His voice of reason & consistency is needed in a political landscape built on hypocrisy & opportunism. His leadership has created a grassroots movement that continues to grow. People crave authenticity & integrity. 2/
So now we’re four years into creation of @Principles_1st & we’ve held THREE national summits that have attracted attendees from across America. This is data from last month’s summit. People gave of their time, talent & treasure to participate. That is how a movement grows. 3/
Reminder that @Principles_1st is non-partisan. We’re a group based on principles. I was fortunate to be part of committee that helped define our principles. To me, our first principle is the one I hold most dear: Integrity, character, & virtue matter. 4/
The co-chairs of our Movement & Action committee, @michaelbeck & @RichByrnesNY are working hard on spearheading growth of our movement across America. They’re volunteers too who believe that people of principle make the best leaders. Want to learn more? They’re your source. 5/
If you’re in #SouthCarolina or Charlotte, NC & want to learn more about what @Principles_First is doing locally, join our SC state launch zoom on Tues, April 25 7pm. You’ll meet our state leadership team & will learn of our plans for regional meetings. 6/6 eventbrite.com/e/principles-f…

I had to show my ticket, my driver’s license, had my purse inspected & was wanded by a security metal detector before entering. Once inside, I was given these two items. Approx 200-300 people in attendance. @Moms4Liberty had first 2 rows reserved. #DeSantis#Charleston 1/
DeSantis was introduced by local #M4L chair, Tara Woods. Lots of talk about protecting children & praise for how Florida handled #covid, #CRT, school board takeovers, being at war w/ “woke mob” & how the battle has just begun. 2/
DeSantis spoke for about 45 minutes.
Things I heard him condemn:
Woke mob, CRT, Fauci, DEI, Biden, vaccine mandates, BLM protests, transgender sports, books, Bud light, ESG & Disney
Things I did not hear him condemn: Trump, Jan 6 violence, Fox News defamation settlement 3/
