People want to believe that our institutions are holding. But the truth is that they often are not. In this instance, our institutions would neither have discovered the Coffee County breach, nor taken investigative action but 4 the eternal vigilance of @MarilynRMarks1. #gapol 2/
We need a nationwide investigation to determine where else these MAGA operators might have breached voting systems. As discovered by @SEGreenhalgh, however, @TheJusticeDept seems to have done NOTHING to investigate. We must help her hold their feet to the fire. #vigilance 3/ 
Re: post 1, the tape was obtained by @MarilynRMarks1. Likewise, it was Marilyn who unearthed the surveillance footage of the breach itself. This is what vigilance means. It means NOT “assuming” that our elected officials are doing their job. Because too often they are not. 4/
Had our institutions done their job all along, our democracy would not have landed in this precarious position in the first place. We must look to ensure that they are doing their job now. 5/

This is shocking. Gabe Sterling (Georgia Sec of State’s operating officer) insisted that no breach had occurred in Coffee County, Georgia, even AFTER Feb 2022–when he heard the tape of Scott Hall bragging about the breach—& despite deciding to conduct no investigation. #gapol 7/

Marilyn later obtained the surveillance video that proved Gabe Sterling was wrong. She did it. Not our institutions. 8/
11/ Whoa. Seems the Georgia Secretary of State knew, as early as the Spring of 2021, that the voting system password in Coffee County, Georgia had been compromised. And yet they did nothing to investigate until they punted the matter to the Bureau of Investigations in Aug 2022.

12/ You can read for yourself. The GA Secretary of State waited until July 2022 to even try to schedule interviews to “get a handle” on what had happened with the breach in Coffee County. Then they blew off the interviews.
