On @Jacob_Rees_Mogg and @MarinaPurkiss
Margaret Thatcher :

"I always cheer up immensely if an attack is particularly wounding because I think, well, if they attack one personally, it means they have not a single political argument left."

Here's a word cloud Image
Now I ran out of space on that word cloud

Because between GB News staff, presenters and guests and vast army of Jacob Rees Mogg shillsters, sycophants and propagandists

There is only so much you can fit in one word cloud
I would like to thank Jacob Rees Mogg

For how he dodges and deflects from questions

Thank you Jacob

It is a trait you have shown before dodging questions - but we'll come to that in a minute
Here's how a few other folks reported/observed it
So Jacob tried several things

1. He went down the freedom of speech route to avoid critique of government policy and its effects

2. He simply ignored points when he being told he was a liar on brexit

3. He went for fracking and blaming things on net zero
So Jacob goes down the absolutist angle on freedom of speech to divert from austerity

I can understand why

If I had inflicted austerity on a nation

I would be fucking ashamed of it too

Like how Liz here can't answer a simple question

So he gets upset when a protest causes disruption

Explain to me how a protest does not cause disruption?

Should Unicorn Kingdom make a Protest Land village that can be booked for people to protest in so they can do so away from "real" villages/towns/cities ?
How many people have to be disrupted before Jacob is displeased with the protest?

Are we talking one person?

Two?

10?

100?
How noisy does a protest have to be before Jacob is displeased with the protest?

What happens if a protestor lies down in front of traffic obstructing their movement?

Would Jacob be displeased with this protest?

If so I do hope he made it clear to Boris Johnson , maybe that's why he fled to Afghanistan rather than honour a promise he made to constituents.
On brexit

Jacob is a liar

Its quite sad really

Margaret Thatcher said that the manner of winning is a matter of honour.

Her party pissed on her words with their cheating, their lies, their racism and their contempt for british democracy Image
their racism and xenophobia desperate and calculated ImageImage
their lies about northern ireland

endangering peace on these islands

were deliberate and contemptuous of a hard won peace

and of course we have a red bus Image
that was a lie

we never sent the EU £350 million a week

and no I can't be arsed with the shite from brexiteers over the past 7 years ranging from

1. arguing it wasn't a promise (which is worse)
2. arguing they never made a promise e.g. Farage
3. arguing they kept the promise
Since we never had £350 million a week to save

You could never have spent it

So to those arguing we kept it

Thank you for confirming the lie that government spending choice was always available to His Majesty's Government
and of course you have Jacob when challenged on that lie

well he has no difficulty lying some more Image
I often wonder whether Boris and Dominic sat around thinking which of their "lucky" ministers they could get to go and lie to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II to unlawfully prorogue the Mother of Parliaments

It says so much that not only did Jacob do it

But he eagerly did it Image
So when Jacob Rees Mogg talks about freedom of speech just remember

He lied to his monarch to silence Parliament
On food prices

well he lied about that too

and as to the benefits of CPTPP

that's a lie too

I can understand Jacob's shame

You have done so much to "win"

You can never ever admit to it
The most fascinating thread I did on a Jacob quote which ties again back to Margaret

is his inability to speak of the character of his leader ImageImage
and here's Jacob Image
I wrote a whole thread on that one interview

Oh here's an update where Greg Hands has the same difficulty in answering that question

and sadly

the UK has paid a price

not just for austerity

not just for brexit

but for coronavirus - we had the worst possible government at the worst possible time

Oh and on fracking

Jacob was a pathetic lying charlatan on that too

Oh yes and Tuesday was a really bad night for Jacob

because as well as Marina

he had to face up to a newsnight report on him blacklisting people

yup the man who spouts hollow platitudes about freedom of speech

practices nothing of the sort

He lied to the Queen
He lied to Josephine
He lied to his constituents, a nation

He passed a treaty no unionist should support

He threatened to break that treaty

He unlawfully prorogued Parliament

He pisses on the memory of Thatcher

A reminder on how Jacob described "victory"

"I mean this is Magna Carta, it’s the Burgesses coming at Parliament, it’s the great Reform Bill, it’s the bill of rights, it’s so many… It’s Waterloo, it’s Agincourt, it’s Crecy, We win all these things.”

Also Jacob

"It is for us Back Benchers to say to Her Majesty’s Government: “Stiffen your sinews, summon up the blood and imitate the action of a tiger, for that is how you should behave towards our European partners, not like Bagpuss.”

versus Image
You can go to Jacob on

18th March 2019

"No deal is now the best outcome."

Well you could do - except Jacob has deleted that tweet

He cancelled his own words

Fascinating , really.

@BBCNewsnight even covered #Bagpuss with the late Charles Kennedy

So to end

A little short story

Inspired by Boris Johnson

I would like to thank @GregHands every time he (or his party) use a note from @liambyrnemp

Because every time he does

He wants you to exercise hindsight

And look back to the past

So let's do that Image
The note I am talking about of course Image
sorry my bad

[thread] on @10downingst @RishiSunak

This is horribly awkward

And I almost feel sorry for Rishi Sunak

That not a single person wants to ask him a question

So I have some maths questions at the end of this thread where I cover his visionary mathematics policy
“There’s no secret to success in the modern world. If countries are going to win in the global race and children compete and get the best jobs, you need mathematicians and scientists – pure and simple."

"So today, we commit to deliver more maths and science teachers."
“This is all part of our long-term economic plan for Britain – making sure our children have the skills they need to thrive and get on. And by sticking to it, we will lift our children’s horizons and pull our country up in the world.”

[thread] on #CPTPP

A deal where the UK is so weakened, enfeebled and desperate that it had to make concessions to *Malaysia*

(let alone to other nations)

And those who did that deal also fucked up the Australia deal where it damages Britain (see George Eustice)
So

CPTPP

Let's look at the estimates of how beneficial it will be to the UK

What does "success" look like?

That is all.

Here's a story about 4000 refugees.
"Of about 4,000 people estimated to have been deported by Israel to Rwanda & Uganda under a “voluntary departure” scheme between 2014 & 2017, almost all are thought to have left the country almost immediately, with many attempting to return to Europe via people-smuggling routes."
"In addition, at least one deportee still in Rwanda, tracked down by Israel’s Haaretz newspaper in 2018, described being destitute and living on the streets of Rwanda’s capital, Kigali."
