1) SP Sana Akhtar said that according to the post mortem report the victim died due to some poisoning and there was no sexual injury
This extremely unlikely explanation was rejected by the victim's family who refused to cremate her. She remains buried until justice is done. (2/7)

2) The victim's family have moved to the High Court demanding a CBI enquiry. The police had not provided them with FIR copy and the post mortem and inquest report even after a week
The police was accused of trying to pass it off as a suicide by poisoning case. @_Agnijwala_ (3/7)

3) The HC had ordered a comprehensive report from the police with the case diary, FIR copy and post mortem report on May 2nd

The police is to provide the documents requested by the family and NCPCR
But the court declared the call for 2nd autopsy "premature" (4/7) @Bauddhika108

4) The police have remained silent over their cold blooded murder of Mrityunjoy Barman. There have been no preliminary probe too.

The police killed him in one of their targeted raids to detain the protestors. They had also fired on unarmed Hindu protestors on April 26th. (5/7)

5) The government of TMC have imposed a heavy crackdown on anyone demanding for justice

The CM threatened to attach the properties of the protestors. Opposition party leaders were not allowed to visit the victims. BJP leaders protesting in another district were detained (6/7)

If we Bengalis (Hindus) want to survive we must vote on Hindu issues as a block and this TMC party has got to go. We are heading for a second direct action day like situation. (7/7)
