There are two kinds of people in this world, those who are fascinated with Shiv's chemistry with Matsson and those who are fascinated by Shiv's chemistry with Tom Wambsgans #succession
I am on the Matsson side, it is chaotic and interesting whereas her deal with Tom seems very Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf and contrived
Perhaps an unpopular opinion but I think both men are playing Shiv and she's largely unaware of how they know exactly what to tell her to flatter her ego. Matsson tells her she reminds him of her dad, and Shiv allies with him right away.
And Tom worms his way back in by flattering her money and power, and saying how he can't live without it, and he needs his career -- and that reminds Shiv that he's hers to control, and she forgets about his cheating for that.
Shiv is no less blinded by ego than her brothers are, unfortunately. She's just working a more indirect angle than they are.

So much of this story is Boomers turning the workplace into their entire lives and having no personal or social resources outside work. This is why they all refuse to retire.
A subgenre of this is the reporters who were more politicians/operators than journalists, constantly backchanneling with editors and freeriding off colleagues' work and ideas to get bylines (and dates) for themselves
Allow me to say that I always found people like this tiresome vampires who worked every angle they could find in order to jockey for status and position in the newsroom, focused only on their personal glory and willing to step on any colleague to get even a morsel of notice.
Cameras everywhere, every single moment was filmed, and yet it is so dull
You'll be unsurprised to know that they make total nuisances of themselves by driving into a lagoon and require an entire Costa Rican village to bail them out
This is bizarre! We pledged allegiance every day and twice some days if we had assemblies. There was a literal Color Guard of kids who just carried the flag into the auditorium and it was considered a huge honor!
I wonder if there's a generational gap here? Like, maybe people who went to school before or during the Vietnam War didn't have the pledge, but everyone who went to school post-Reagan had to?
One thing about the US, our institutions are *obsessed* with the flag.
As we get deeper into spring, many people will be thinking about spring cleaning/decluttering.
Allow me to share my foolproof method for clothing choices:
Think of the hottest person you know. Would you be happy for them to see you in that garment? If not, donate it.
Similarly, your place: The hottest person you know is coming to your house. What do you not want them to have to look at? Remove it from their imaginary sight before they ever cross your threshold
Many valid questions have surfaced, so allow me to elaborate.
When you try on clothes, do not use the mirror at first. Turn your back to the mirror. See how it feels on you, how you move, whether it makes you feel your best.
