The suspects were identified as Syed Feroz, a repeat property offender, and his gang . The police said the gang targeted parked bikes and stole them using hot-wiring techniques. The arrests occurred during a routine police check on Tuesday, after the suspects failed to provide registration documents and evaded questions posed by the police. Upon further interrogation, they admitted to having stolen the bikes.
Feroz, who was identified as the brain behind the gang, was last arrested in a theft case in 2022 and was lodged at Cherlapally central prison.
