I wouldn’t be particularly aggressive about my moves this week.
Having two free transfers for DGW36 will be very helpful.
Even if you only use one, you can have 2FT’s for DGW37.
Most teams are fairly well set up, just about trimming the edges.
💎 Manchester City assets
My preferred combination by some way is Haaland, Stones and a MID.
If you have Ederson then so be it, it’s extremely difficult to remove him in a move which would genuinely be worth your while.
I expect Grealish to be benched this week, as such…
you can either move him on for Foden who I expect to start at LW and is my favourite differential, or bench him given is fantastic xMins.
If you have good bench cover in the form of a 3rd FWD.
It’s simply down to your risk tolerance, it’s a good opportunity to chase the upside.
I’d avoid getting Alvarez now, he takes up a FWD spot in a structure where you only really want two alongside Greenwood and blocks a NEW FWD.
I’m not particularly bullish on his xMins either.
KDB is my primary target for DGW37, and has a simple route by selling Salah.
The…
strategy I particularly like is playing a bit of “Pep Roulette” on your own terms.
Having Foden for this week, then removing him in DGW36 or 37, as part of two transfers to facilitate KDB towards the back end.
City will likely wrap up the league then and given his ceiling…
likely low ownership and the fixtures - he’s a fantastic asset.
💎 Benching dilemmas
I certainly wouldn’t bench Isak this week.
Arsenal have looked leaky at the back ever since Saliba got injured, especially playing away at Newcastle I can’t see them conceding less than two goals.
With Gabriel potentially being injured, or at least not…
being 100% fit, starting Isak is a no brainer for me.
I expect Newcastle to concede but I’d still start Trippier purely for his ceiling.
I’d start him over Shaw, West Ham certainly have a goal in them.
If you own Kepa I’d start him, has a good ceiling and it’s not a bad…
fixture.
I’m somewhat confident Grealish gets benched, so if we don’t get a leak I’d bench/sell him.
I expect Foden to start at LW.
I also expect Mahrez to get his 3rd start in a row, with Gundogan returning.
Depending on Klopp’s comments, you can then make a judgment…
on Jota.
I’d quite like the gamble to start him, feel it’s a fixture he could do well given he’s fantastic at finding space when there isn’t much available.
💎 FWD’s and MID’s
This section is just to answer some general queries.
I would absolutely not sell Bruno Fernandes for the remainder of the season.
90 minutes, penalties, he’s been putting in great performances(and dodging returns), good fixtures, upcoming doubles & talisman.
You can’t ask for much more, especially given his price tag not being in the premium bracket.
Whilst I can understand the frustration with the Brighton MID’s, specifically Mitoma and March, I’d say it’s likely best to keep them.
I appreciate the argument of selling to get in…
explosive differentials but the amount of fixtures they have, makes it a huge risk.
Two hauls across the 10 games the pair have in the next 3 GW’s isn’t unrealistic to expect.
I thought March looked good when he came on, Mitoma just lacked end product on the night.
Between the Newcastle FWD options, I still prefer Isak to Wilson, I think he will get more minutes across the remainder of the season.
Getting them in a week early is perfectly fine given the reasons discussed prior.
Salah is one of the trickiest one’s. The reason being he…
blocks so many assets.
Selling him in DGW37 certainly seems ideal. Again it’s a huge risk to dump him early, but one where there is a high reward associated with it.
One step to far for me, hence I’d avoid selling but there’s some merit there.
I spoke about Grealish earlier.
💎 Captaincy
Given Manchester City have the early kick off, and it’s at 3pm rather than 12:30pm, I’d say there’s a decent chance of a leak.
In the case we don’t, Haaland is the best captain choice. No real need to explain why.
However, there is somewhat of a chance he’s…
benched.
Now whilst a cameo appearance is unlikely, it’s still a possibility, hence I don’t mind a differential option this week.
Zincheko’s inverted nature the RW should certainly have a few opportunities to exploit this.
Aubameyang shouldn’t actually be too mobile in this game, force at least one of the CB’s to stay central and create isolated instances for the wingers.
However, Chelsea aren’t well versed in this system.
The 4-3-3 is the the hardest formation to play well and when you get it wrong, the are consequences catastrophic.
Trossard’s obvious advantage in the duel against Azpilicueta will force the RCB to play sidedly wider than…

& the mid-block with his passing is significantly worse than Saliba’s.
It has caused Odegaard to make slight adjustments to his game, including dropping deeper at times to receive and start/increase the tempo of the initial phases of play.
Arsenal have still been good going…
forward, but you want your most creative player further up the pitch.
It appears Arteta doesn’t have numerous solutions available, at least not obvious one’s.
Moving White, Partey & Xhaka out of position and starting Jorginho are potentials but it’s not exactly the most ideal…
