@JeffWeinerOS @reporterannie The principal reason why I let my e-subscription to @MiamiHerald expire:

The Herald never asked the sainted @JoseJavierJJR:

When did your team first check out the #SD37 NPA mystery candidate’s claimed residence address?

June 12, 2020, filing deadline

July

August

1/
@JeffWeinerOS @reporterannie @MiamiHerald @JoseJavierJJR September

October

Election Day November 3, 2020?

Never?

There’s a reason why the Herald chose to abandon its journalistic role.

The Herald knows that reason.

@orlandosentinel @Scott_Maxwell, on the other hand, did their job.

Thank you.

@Sen_JoeManchin

@SenatorSinema

Can you please help Minnesota #mnleg return to sanity?

MN State Senator @JudySeeberger is the most powerful person in the state.

Please offer to guide her in effectively exercising HER POWER.

You two were experts in the previous Congress.

1/
State Senator Seeberger is a Democrat who won her seat in Senate District 41, #34 in the 67-member State Senate, by 341 votes last November.

This gives @MNsenDems control by one vote - HERS - 34 to 33.

This also gives @GovTimWalz and @MinnesotaDFL @mnhouseDFL the Trifecta.

2/
In other words, State Senator @JudySeeberger holds the entire balance of power for the Democrats in Minnesota.

Just like you two among @SenateDems in the previous Congress.

So why is she concerned about nothing moderate?

She has them by the political you-know-what.

@tbango @Scott_Maxwell To answer your question:

Because progressive activists organized a strong effort in the @FlaDems 2018 closed primary for Governor; registered Democrats chose @AndrewGillum over the moderate - but more electable - @GwenGraham.

Something similar happened in @FloridaGOP.

1/
@tbango @Scott_Maxwell @FlaDems @AndrewGillum @GwenGraham @FloridaGOP Gillum didn’t run a very good campaign, as I recall, left several millions in the bank, and he lost to @RonDeSantisFL by around 30,000 votes statewide.

@MoveFLForward fizzled and we know where Gillum ended up.

That’s how we got here.

@SenStabenow, if the other party has a completely ineffective Senator still in office, there’s no reason to complain, right?

South Carolina voters knew Sen. Thurmond was age 94 when they last re-elected him in 1996.

Their decision.

1/
Senator Patrick Leahy (D-VT) is a man and did the right thing without putting it out in public:

In November 2021, he responsibly announced that he would not seek re-election in 2022 and returned to private life January 3, 2023.

Why do Women hang on?

That’s why it’s public.

2/
At least in 2018, @CA_Dem Party responsibly endorsed her Democratic challenger @kdeleon.

However, California voters knew Sen. Feinstein was 85 years old when they last re-elected for another six years.

They’re stuck with her, and so is America.

@Politidope I strongly believe that @Trump company funds actually reimbursed Michael Cohen and that this is key to the falsification of business records charges.

Donald Trump never pays his own money for anything, as @nytimes David @Fahrenthold has reported.
@Politidope @Trump @nytimes @Fahrenthold Remember Leona Helmsley.

Even if you own the company, it’s not your personal piggy bank, unless it’s reflected in your W-2.
@Politidope @Trump @nytimes @Fahrenthold On the other hand, @RepMeijer states that the funds were Trump’s personal funds; the company bookkeeper manages both types of accounts.

@darkbranstan @GayToad_3 @Kaepernick7 However, I understand that the murder of Michael Brown in Ferguson, MO, September 2014, prompted Mr. Kaepernick to take a knee.

The incumbent local prosecutor, to whom Michael Brown did not matter, was running unopposed, too late for a challenge.

2/
@darkbranstan @GayToad_3 @Kaepernick7 In the next election, in 2018, a reformer challenged the incumbent, and won.

That only happened because people voted.

I wish he would set an example by entering the voting booth.

How anyone votes, including a spoiled ballot (fill in all the bubbles) is private.
