1. First off- our concerns should be VERY similar to the writers. Actors, no longer receive residuals due to steaming. Soooo, we understand that writers deserve residuals but don’t think that actors do!? I die.

AI is also a threat to actors. As a soulful actor I don’t think they should be a threat, but knowing soulless decision-makers who think there is not difference of COURSE it is a threat. AI models are taking jobs away already. (A black one created by a white male even.)

Until we opened an investigation. If you care, the first paycheck after they got caught to series regulars was $13k. $13000 for each of the 10 series regulars just Actively hidden and not paid for because studios know they can get away with it. #sagstrike

Residuals: Even where residuals are legally deserved (network television, resales etc) @sagaftra has ADMITTED that they no longer have the bandwidth to track residuals! I personally have been on a show where the studio just straight up DIDN’T PaY US the residuals we deserved…

As the industry is finally casting more diverse actors they are not PAYING them and there are no safeguards against the nonsense. I personally was essentially a series regular on MULTIPLE shows. 9/10 episodes etc (which IS MORE than a fractional series regular) #sagstrike

BUT as they disrespect people of color, I was paid as a GUEST star on all said shows. (I’m Dying Up Here on Showtime, Hulu’s Chance and NBC’s Champions) that’s not glamorous fam, that’s not living, don’t get it twisted.

After manager and agents and taxes, good luck getting a cute premiere dress after u pay the rent on ur one bedroom apartment. (You deserve better everyone!) not to mention being devalued because you are diverse feels like shit while your costars buy houses.

And my darling @sagaftra members, please don’t bone yourselves and approve this kind of stuff, you’d make more serving tables, trust. And here’s a pic of that because I love the truth and I love receipts!

Share w/ your friends, know your worth, talk amongst yourselves, educate each other, fight for safer sets for yourselves, your crew, your writers, your directors etc. The $$$ is there, and it is all possible. #iatse #sagaftra #wga #dga etc etc
